The pool was amazing, we spend quite a good time in the pool, and the delicious breakfast was fresh fruit, warm bread, and tasty local dishes. The beach is also close by, and the walk there was really nice. Overall it is amazing, hidden cozy place for a quiet relaxing stay.

The garden, pool and the close beach was so perfect!! The staff was super friendly. We had an early arrival, but the staff already prepared our room at 6 AM. The garden with the pool was super relaxing, it was like we are full alone there. Quiet, nice place far from the crowdy Negombo!

I enjoyed the quiet. Only the breeze in the palm trees and the crash of the waves. The pool and garden around it are very nice. Pool is very clean I enjoyed seeing the local fishermen on the beach in the mornings

The breakfast was fresh and tasty, and the beach is just a short walk away, which was super convenient, The pool was well-maintained and clean, and surrounded by trees and greenery, it felt like a private and peaceful location. It’s quiet and beautiful place for relaxing.

It was very nice place good location not far from restaurant and beach. The pool and area around it was very nice and relaxing pool lovely and clean. Nice big bed comfy bedding nice and towels in bathroom lovely good shower plenty warm water 🚿 . The staff were very friendly and helpful,we had taxi from hotel to airport included in price of room it was on time lovely car and driver was a lovely friendly person .

The hotel is about 10km far from the Bandaranaike Airport. We have booked airport pick-up service with the hotel. Although our flight has been delayed so we landed an-hour late than schedule, the staff who pick us up was helpfull and patience. Our room has swimming pool view, and in the early morning, the staff pick up leaves to keep the pool clean all the time. The most impressive thing in this hotel is breakfast. After a long flight, the breakfast with fruits, fresh juice, bread, eggs are exactly what we need.

Clean, tidy, nice swimming pool! We couldn’t check in yet early in the morning but we were allowed to use the pool till we could check in.

Great place to stay a night or two before/after flying. The beds are comfy, AC working well and the rooms were clean and fresh. The breakfast was great, but by far the best part is the staff working there. Young, friendly and helpful, making for a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The pool was clean and our young kids enjoyed swimming there. We could also arrange for an extra bed in the room which we appreciated very much! Location is great for walking downtown (or very short tuk tuk ride). No lunch at the property but that meant we found some great places to eat in town.

Very nice modern accommodation. The look of the rooms is very nice and luxurious, also it was spotless and very clean. We were early and the staff made us comfortable till our room was ready, we also got an early check in. The pool is a nice size and refreshing on a warm day. The breakfast in the morning was simple and ok, nothing special but just allright. Also the location was very nice, it was quick to get there from the airport and the beach was just a walk away

Simple but beautiful hotel, with a great relaxing atmosphere and wonderful staff. We arrived really late from the flight and waited for us and welcomed us in, the rooms were clean and spacious and the infinity pool was just amazing. The grounds are so well taken care of and we enjoyed a stroll alongside the river and the beautiful gardens of the hotel, breakfast was simple but fresh and we enjoyed it very much. The staff was so thoughtful and nice towards us and the kids and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay here again.

Warm welcome with a delicious drink. Spacious room and bathroom. Soft towels, also pool towels. Comfortable beds. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food in the restaurant is delicious. I can recommend the spa. We were offered a late check-out without extra charge. Perfect place to relax a few days.

Great to be able to bathe from the beach immediately after the flight from UK ! Nice pool and poolside restaurant, too, and yummy breakfast before we set off next morning on our travels. Reception staff were helpful with the wheelchair-user in our party. Level access to room and bathroom, but not to the restaurant or pool or beach - yet ... perhaps they could consider these aspects ?

We stayed at this place for 2 days to enjoy our vacation, and it was a great location to enjoy both the beach and the pool. My kids had a lot of fun in the pool and then at the beach. The breakfast was also good. The room was spacious and had easy access to the pool and then to the beach.

We booked this hotel to end our stay in Sri Lanka. The beach facing room was amazing. So nice to hear the waves from the room. We watched the best sun set from the beach a few steps from the room. Location is fab. The room was huge. Pool was lovely. Just need some umbrellas as there’s not much shade around the pool. In the morning there is shade on the grassy areas. Staff are helpful and when the WiFi didn’t work from our room staff came straight away with a booster solved the issue.

Very very happy with my stay in this beautiful Hotel. The rooms are very big, clean and well equipped. But especially, the staff is incredebly kind and helpful. I like to mention Dilip, Eranga, Nileka and the managers Don Upali as well as Ajith Karunaratne. They arranged the best stay possible for me. Also, the hotel itself is modern, well located, with a view on the ocean and has a clean swimming pool. Will definitely choose this hotel again anytime.

The rooms are comfortable, clean and well designed - we had a family deluxe room close to the large pool. The grounds and pool are kept in pristine condition, even after the huge downfall of rain.

We booked for one night only for some rest after a long flight from London before a long car journey the following day. The hotel is luxurious, immaculately maintained and very comfortable. They organised our transfers from the airport and were extremely friendly and helpful. Our son loved the swimming pools and the buffet breakfast was lovely. We wished we had booked for longer.

The owner reached out and provided helpful information with directions beforehand. I highly appreciated this. really good stay near the airport. they have one complimentary pick up or drop. I really liked the whole setup of a bungalow and the lawn and pool with a small cafe outside.

We loved this property, it’s just 15 minutes from the airport but feels very secluded. The room was lovely, very clean and comfortable with a great shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My dinner, chicken stew, was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The pool is also great, very clean and a good depth for swimming. The complimentary taxi to or from the airport is a definite bonus.

We stayed at this accomodation the day before our departure as it is conveniently located near the airport. After two weeks of backpacking, it was the ideal place to relax, with a beautiful pool and the option of enjoying Ayurvedic massages. The staff were very helpful, and there was the possibility to dine on-site with good quality food.

This Is a very modern and well equiped hotel with a lovely garden and swimming pool. The room is large and a has a good bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the room had an exit direct to the pool. Its very quiet and peaceful as it is quite far from Negombo center (when we arrived).

Breakfast Options for Vegetarians Limited. Mainly Sri Lankan Cuisine. But Staff helpful and will cook up something. Bang on the Beach but water is rough and beach not ideal for swimming. Get a room overlooking the Sea and Pool. Decent sized Pool and well amintained

One of the most beautiful properties. The view and the spacious compound was amazing especially from our suite which was very spacious as well. Loved that we could walk down to the beach from the pool view with the lovely palm and frangipani garden. The staff were very nice and set up a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast for us too. There are lots of little touches of beautiful spots that are created and I wish I had more time to enjoy the lovely place.

Friendly locals in this quiter area. Only 5 rooms. Tuk tuk ride to the busier Negombo beach area. Hotel organised our taxi to Colombo for the onward train to Kandy

The place is 5 minutes from the airport, it has a nice pool and lobby area, the host is the kindest thing ever, funny and very friendly. We ordered KFC and ate at the balcony of our room, was really fun experience😁

Clean and comfy area. I slept like a baby. Terin picked me up at the airport at 3:00 am i the night and welcomed me with cold water (a beer that I refused as I don’t drink) and showed me everything essential that I’ll need for the night / morning as quick as possible so that i can take a rest. The place is very peaceful and even has a small pool to relax (all very clean). I got offered a free breakfast as well.

Host was super helpful - even found the rugby on the telly. Free beer on arrival was also much appreciated. Clean rooms with en-suite, lite breakfast and efficient transfer to airport. Highly recommended. Don’t book for the pool it’s not great and nobody used it while I was there.

Staff were amazing. There's a small pool which we quite happily had a nice dip in. The rooms are small but comfy and it's nice to have your own ensuite. Breakfast was basic but really nice. Cute little pond to dip your feet in and the fishies have a little nibble. Great to have the transport to the airport as it was close and easily accessible.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Belmont and it was just what I needed after three weeks travelling around Sri Lanka. Great location close to lots of restaurants, cafes & shops. The staff were all very friendly. The room was lovely and comfortable with everything needed including a couple of armchairs, and the pool was great. Delicious breakfast served by the pool was a great way to start the day.

Excellent stay - the hotel was the perfect way to end our trip. The rooms are spacious, modern and clean and the pool area is nice and relaxing. There is also a rooftop bar and dinner/breakfast option. The staff are very helpful and arranged our taxi to the airport very smoothly with no issues, particularly as our flight was at 2am. The location is also ideal- 4 minute walk to the beach and nearby restaurants and shops.

The hotel staff are what really make this place. They are so helpful and welcoming- nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are big,well equipped with comfortable beds. The breakfast is great and varied. We also had lunch there which was also delicious and good value. There is roof top bar with a great view and the pool though small was great for a refreshing dip. Walking distance to town and beach but away from the hustle and bustle. Great little hotel and includes airport pickup in the price.

Staff were so kind and attentive, breakfast delicious with sri lankan or continental option. We also had dinner one night which was so good! Lovely pool area to dip and have a drink, rooms spacious and clean. Cannot fault it! Close to town and restaurants and beach.

The facilities were also perfect to spend a day after check out before our late night flight as we could leave our luggage, relax by the pool and even take a shower. We're just sad we only had one night there!

Loved my peaceful two night stay at the Villa. Greeted with a warm smile and fresh juice by owner Milan upon my arrival. The room had the AC already turned on so it was nice and cool immediately. Huge, very clean room with all the amenities: fridge, chairs, desk, bottled water, pool towels, hair dryer, TV, etc. The pool and the relaxing area around it was lovely - not only very clean but also lots of birds flying in the garden in the early evening. The breakfast was the best I’ve had in my 4 weeks in Sri Lanka - huge fruit plate followed by eggs and even French toast. Highly recommend.

We loved the villa, had the one by the pool so it felt like it was a private pool. Milan looked after us so well, the place is close to everything but far enough not to hear any noise from the bars, 5 minutes walk to the beach. Great breakfast too and very comfy huge beds. Highly recommended

Great villa, nice pool, delicious breakfast with lots of local fruits, only a few minutes walk away from the beach. We were allowed to stay a bit longer than checkout to enjoy the pool until the taxi arrives.

Stayed in the two bedroom apartment adjacent to the pool. We were greeted warmly on arrival (late!) and shown to our apartment. It’s a little rough around the edges but had two bedrooms with incredibly comfortable queen beds, ceiling fans and good air con, which made up for that. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. There was also a big container of filtered water in our room, which was fabulous. The setting was gorgeous, the pool a godsend and the breakfast was fabulous. A massive plate of fruit, banana pancakes, toast & eggs. Finally the staff were all fabulous.

What a gem! A lovely hotel in a quiet area but within easy walking distance of the main area and beach. It backs onto the canal with a beautiful swimming pool at the front. We stayed in a deluxe double with pool view and could not fault it. Comfy bed, large room, good air con with large bathroom and hot shower. The pool was sparklingly clean and the area around it lovely. There are chairs and a huge day bed to relax on either overlooking the pool or canal. The owners were lovely and really helpful with good advice. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Attractive hotel in Negombo with stylish bedroom and poolside area. The owners were friendly and helpful with things to do and where to eat. I was in need of a break from travelling around and wasn't a fan of the beach so it was really good to have the pool. The pool area was kept clean and nice touches like flowers and buddha statue.

The staff received us most warmly. Anything you need they will provide. The pool and garden are amazing. The rooms are situated directly at the pool, giving the idea of an Riad. Especially Nalaka was a gracious host. If you want a care free stay in a well kept room and enjoy the pool this is definitely a must stay!

Really cute and comfortable place to arrive in Sri Lanka, settle and organise your trip :) Villa Kapuru is in Negombo, super close to the airport and walking distance from the main road of the city with restaurants, shops, as well as the beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable, there is a pool to freshen up and the breakfast is very nice, served in the pool-patio area. The staff is really nice and helpful too, I had to send some things over there and there was no problem - thanks a lot!! Also, they have a super nice restaurant in the town: Centella Bistro, so you should check that out too!!

A lovely place to stay for four days at the end of our trip. The pool was clean and had a little bit of shade. Our pool view balcony room was comfortable and cleaned halfway through our stay. Breakfast was good, choice of eggs, nice bread, fruit and curd with honey. Location is good, about a 5 minute walk to the main road where there are lots of shops and restaurants. We'd stay here again.

The staff is very nice and will help with any questions you might have. Besides that the room was very nice and clean. Also the having the pool is very nice as it is quite a cool pool to help you cool down.

The Negombo Boutique Villa is a nice place to stay after arriving in Sri Lanka. We had a very clean, comfy and modern room with a good view on the river side. The pool was refreshing and all the staff has been extremely welcoming and helpful. It is not directly at the beach, but with an easy 15 min walk we have been able to reach it. A supermarket is also nearby.

Very calm and quite place. Very friendly staff. The rooms have a very exotic look are comfortable, clean and well equipped, there's a small swimming pool. The location convenient very close to the beach, there are no problems with mosquitoes. The manager a very good professional, particularly attentive to all wishes and requests, thanks again.

Perfect location for an over night after/before the airport. This property was gorgeous and the shower was amazing! There are some bad reviews for it on google which I would ignore - the room was so clean, so nicely decorated, water pressure amazing, staff so welcoming, pool really clean - a 10/10 from me!

Such a beautiful property in every way. Brand new, spacious rooms, modern design, comfortable bed, outdoor shower and perfect size swimming pool right in front of the room. The location is also great as it is on a side street of the busy beach road which makes everything within walking distance yet much more peaceful. The helpful and genuine team are the cherry on top and nothing is too much of an ask. Always happy to help in any way they can and they were great with our daughter (4 years). She loved everyone but chef Michael was definitely her favorite and she misses him already!

The room is just amazing. Big, clean with an exceptional shower with a garden! The swimming pool is super clean and the water temperature just perfect. Definitely an amazing place to stay in Negombo

Lovely Hotel. Good spot to start or to end the Sri Lanka trip. Very helpful stuff. Good restaurants close by. 5min walk to the beach. 30min walk to Negombo City, 10min by TukTuk. AC, Shower, Fridge etc. works well. Big rooms, good beds. Pool is clean. Airport pickup available (30min). First two nights felt bit overpriced but still good. Mosquito repellent helpful.

Villa Taprobane is a family villa with a nice and quiet garden. The house is stunning, with a wooden roof, creating a cozy atmosphere. We stayed at the bigger room,top floor, very big, clean, with ceiling fan and a/c, and a cute balcony facing the garden. The area is quiet,a little bit out of Negombo, but at a walkable distance from a beach that ou can have a long walk,get the local taste of the place and enjoy the sunset (not really swimming there). The owners were super kind and super helpful, excellent service,delicious breakfast homemade and fresh. We spent our first and our last night of our trip,it felt like going back home and sharing experiences with relatives. They also kept our luggage and some valuable stuff we forgot accidently, they took care of us in order to rent a tuk tuk and generally provide all the necessary information 2 female travellers need. We definitely recommend it!

This was our first stay in Sri Lanka and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The hosts were so amazing, very friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. We were able to take out some bicycles to explore and they helped us to arrange renting a Tuktuk for the rest of our journey. The included breakfast was gorgeous and so big! Kept us going all day. The beds are super comfortable and the room was big and clean. Shower was powerful and hot! The garden area is also very beautiful. Definitely recommend anyone to stay here!

Truly everything! Owners were incredibly generous and went beyond themselves. The room was simple, but was well equipped with A/C, comfortable beds, balcony and hot shower etc. Everything was spotlessly clean! The breakfast was really delicious and one of the best we had during our one month in Sri Lanka. The room is close to beach and to the beach road, where you'll find shops, restaurants etc.

I just love the place. Both the place and the hosts are truely amazing. The garden and the dining area is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast served ( I stayed 2 nights on arrival and 4 nights on my return) was so delicious. ( variety of fruit, srilankan pancake, toasts, eggs, omelette, chickpeas, dal). The hosts are so kind, friendly, positive and helpful people. They helped me with parcel related isssues I was facing at the post office. I could also leave my big backpack for three weeks with them. Being there feels home. Whenever I come to Sri Lanka it will be the first place I stay in and the last before leaving. Thank you for a wonderful stay:)

On arrival, we were welcomed by the very friendly & helpful couple who own the business. The rooms were clean and tidy and air conditioned. A delicious traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was included. The swimming pool is great asset to the property. Opportunity to swim after a long flight & to acclimatise by the pool enhanced my stay here. I have booked to come back!

This was not my first visit, and it won't be my last either. The family are so friendly and welcoming; nothing is too much trouble. The poolside rooms are lovely. The pool itself is pretty and very welcome. Breakfast is fabulous. It's a quiet location, set back from the main throng.

Nice pool/garden area. Polished concrete floor and walls in rooms (lovely to keep cool and walk on barefoot). Modern, cool vibe and well designed. Walking distance to see the sunset at the beach and to shops and restaurants etc. Staff were ok about us checking out and staying beside the pool until our drive to the airport.

Amazing place to stay in Negombo! The owner and staff are very friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. We enjoyed the swimming pool as we arrived from the airport. The place is in a quiet street behind the main street, close to nice restaurants and the beach. Last but not least, the breakfast is delicious! It was a great first stop for our journey through Sri Lanka.

We loved how welcoming everyone was the moment you walk in. The room is very spacious and clean. Also you have a very nice pool and there was always someone you could ask something and they helped you right away. The breakfast was very extensive and delicious. Everyone was very helpful and super friendly. If I would ever stay in negombo again I would definitely go back!

The owners were very welcoming, even though we arrived at 6 am, they took us in and gave us a welcome drink, later they gave us local recommendations. The pool was nice and refreshing. Breakfast was rich and very tasty, we were sitting by a river. You could hear birds singing all around the resort, which added to the nice and serene atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable. We would definitively stay again.

The breakfast is amazing, the breakfast area is next to the water, lots of green trees around, really beautiful. The rest is ok, the shower had not much water, bed was very comfy and the pool is nice. Perfect for our 1 night in Negombo.

Having travelled so much, LimeShine is a great, safe, clean and comfortable place to rest our tired minds and body. The bedroom is so clean and comfortable, sleep came easy. The whole building is so well maintained. The rooms are well lit and everything works so well. The team in the hotel is so amazing and went all out to ensure we are well taken care of. Thanks to Mr. Anton and Miss Anjali plus your professional and friendly staff. We went on a well planned tour along Negomba and learnt more about the city. The English breakfast is nutritious and filling. Supermarket is just opposite the hotel. Super convenient. Thanks! (I accidentally added a pool pic and couldn't delete it.). Even if there is no pool the hotel is close to at least 2 beaches. The important thing I sleep so well in this hotel. Thanks.

All the previous reviews have covered every aspect of this hotel. Remember you’d only use this hotel if you’re in transit so you’d stay one or two nights at the most depending on your flight. There is no swimming pool and just a heads up the local lagoon has no beach with little access. Best place for food is the jazz lounge. Turn left at the main road about 400 m walk till you see the big blue roller door sign and it’s across the road. Staff at the hotel only too happy to help with any aspect or problem. We paid 2000LKR arranged by the hotel for transport to the airport which took about 5 to 10 minutes.

Such a lovely hotel we had a wonderful welcome on arrival. Cold flannel and juice just what we needed after a long journey. The staff were there on hand to show us around and help with our bags to our room. The rooms are clean and well equipped for everything you need. Air conditioning and ceiling fan were quiet and definitely a plus and kept us lovely and cool. We had a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel with a street view and side sea view. The staff are so helpful and booked all are transport needs from the airport, plus tuk tuk rides to the shopping mall and our transfer to our next hotel on the coast. Our driver was very professional, friendly and a safe driver. We met the owner and manager of this small hotel and they work really hard to ensure you have the most stress free stay at Limeshine hotel. Thank you to all the staff in the restaurant and reception you made our first night in Sri Lanker so wonderful.

We stayed one night at the Limeshine after arriving at CMB Airport late and can really recommend it for transit. The hotel is rather new and well maintained. It's close to the airport in a fairly quiet area with a supermarket right around the corner. The room was spacious, comfy, very clean, has a balcony and AC + fan. Got some good sleep there. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The owner even greeted us in German which was unexpected :) Breakfast was plentiful with fresh fruits platter, toast, omelet, sausages and a proper cappuccino. Overall great value for money.

Great spot to stay near the airport. We loved using the (very clean) swimming pool, spa and pool table. Really easy spot to relax and staff very helpful. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and well equipped. The range of facilities, such as swimming pool, library, minibar, was impressive. The pool was very welcome on a scorching hot day. The staff were helpful in arranging taxis and tuktuks for us.

A great place to relax before or after a long flight. The pool is small but fun, in a nice little garden, and the rooms, restaurant and pool area are very thoughtfully appointed. Breakfast and other meals were at cost, but well-prepared and with good value and variety.

Food and italian coffee were excellent, as was the salt water pool (a welcome relief from all the other highly chlorinated pools we'd experienced in SL). Spatious room and bathroom, very comfortable for a post or pre flight stay.

We had quality time during our stay. Our business partners from Japan and our team held productive meetings followed by a great dinner at the restaurant. Staff were truly helpful and went out of their way to support us. Pool area was clean and enjoyable, with a friendly pool bar. Gym was maintained with basic equipment. Rooms were comfortable, modern, and equipped with new technology. Overall staff were extremely welcoming and made everyone feel at home.

Had a comfortable and luxurious stay here for our first three nights in Sri Lanka. Travelled in June which is off season / monsoonal however we barely saw any rain - sunbaked by the pool most days and was very relaxing to travel in the quiet season - at times had the whole pool and grounds to ourself. Buffet breakfast was incredible and had soooo many options. Grounds were beautifully maintained and the gym was perfect too

Lovely hotel - very clean, well equipped rooms. With big comfortable balconies with pool and sea views. Food very good quality with a lot of choice both at breakfast and for snacks, lunch and dinner. What really makes the place are the many staff - all very friendly and helpful. From reception and front of house to waiters, pool staff, cleaners, porters and security all of them very happy to help in any way whilst remaining open, authentic and genuine.

The hotel is nicely situated. The pool Suite has incredible ocean view. Calming sound of waves is something magnificient. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. They try to do their best. The pool is big and warm. The barman is so nice. The guard at the back Garden is helpful and really nice, giving the best advice about the island. The breakfast is delicious Especially egg hoppers which is their traditional option. Best regards for everyone.

Liked this hotel, particularly the large fluffy white towels, very friendly and helpful staff, nice room with big bed too. Was a little concerned that the safe in the room just sat on a shelf in the wardrobe not fixed, turns out this was the case in 3 of the 4 hotels we stayed in. Wasn't a problem though, there are several cctv cameras outside of the rooms. There's no pool here but there is at their sister hotel which you can use for a very small fee, the hotel met half the fee and provided transport for the few minutes journey but could easily walk it. Only disappointment was the reference to bar/lounge which is a small seating area in reception, no bar but they do serve wine and beer. This seems to be normal practise in Sri Lanka, thankfully the red wine was good and the food was excellent. The roof terrace we felt was more for those using the spa facilities than general relaxation, utilised this area following a great massage.

A nice place to stay with the spa and in-house dining but no pool. Dinner service for a simple meal was very slow given 6 chefs in the kitchen and 3 people in restaurant. Had to get batteries in air con and tv remotes changed and 2 light globes replaced. Although done promptly when asked. Housekeeping in room was very good. Very noisy from 6am when kitchen staff come on duty as open kitchen and my room on first floor and from music playing in foyer. Also noisy from cars etc coming to hotel as I was at the front of building on first floor. Small wall tv not in front of beds and far away. Very dim bedside lamps so had to turn all lights on to read at night. Reception staff nice.

Speaking for my wife: Very cute and cozy hotel in a very nice area close to the beach. In case you require pick up/drop off from/to the airport, the hotel team is offering to organize everything with a small amount of extra charge. So already from the start you feel very comfortable and welcomed and taken care of, especially when traveling alone as a woman. The whole team has a warm and family like behavior, which makes you feel like you enter the home of a very close friend, not a hotel. While checking in, you receive a deliciously tasty welcome drink, which, for me, was a huge benefit as I was really thirsty after a long and hot day at various airports. Usually, eating in hotels is not as good as local food but not here! These chefs are creating magic, and in case you are able to leave continental or american stuff aside and try the real sri lanka food, you will for sure be satisfied! I personally loved it and can highly recommend the Salt restaurant. Rooms are modern with air-condition, wifi minibar, providing a comfortable and fulfilling atmosphere, and if you still need something, lovely reception will help you out. I m happy, and in case I am back, Terrace Green Hotel will be my go-to place. Thank you very much for your lovely service.

Having said that, we'd stay again if just staying overnight - as it's cheap, clean & friendly.

We found White Villa Airport Transit Hotel to be an excellent transit stop-over on the way to the airport. The place was well maintained, and the rooms spacious, immaculately clean and comfortable. Mr. Ravin, Gehan and the White Villa team were warm, welcoming, and provided us with great hospitality. Having an on-site restaurant was handy and Mr. Ravin also provided an airport drop-off which was super helpful. It was a pleasure staying at White Villa Transit Hotel and based on our experience, I am happy to recommend this hotel as a great transit stop-over close to the airport. Many thanks to Mr. Ravin and Gehan for making our stay so pleasant!

Everything was perfect. I arrived late at the airport and was very good to have someone to pick me up. I spent a very pleasant and comfortable night at the hotel. Everything that I could need was in the room. Two things that I consider very important for a relaxing stay are the quality of bed/mattress and shower. Both were PERFECT! The staff were very polite and helpful as well. And I have a very good breakfast before leave. Strongly recommend this place.

Excellent communication before I arrived in Sri Lanka regarding my free airport shuttle-Ravin actually telephoned me as well as messaging me the details of where I’d be met and then sent a photo of the car registration, which was all so reassuring. The property is so close to the airport which is great and set in a lovely garden in a peaceful side street. The receptionist was very very helpful and also able to check immediately with Ravin anything that he wasn’t sure about. My room was large and comfortable and extremely clean, as was the bathroom and it was lovely to have soap and shampoo and toothpaste and toothbrushes provided as well as coffee, tea, sugar, and dried milk with the kettle. I didn’t need any food during my stay so unfortunately cannot comment on it but it is really good to know that it is available if needed. My shuttle back the next morning was booked for the time that I’d requested, but as I awoke early I woke up the 24 hour receptionist and asked him if I could have an earlier taxi, which he immediately arranged. I was totally delighted and impressed with everything about White Villa and would not hesitate to recommend it for people with long transits—it’s the perfect place to relax between flights and I will be staying there again on my way home. Thank you so much Ravin and the whole team.

Hotel overlooks the canal in the old quarter and is ideally placed for the international airport. The room was spacious, quiet and with a balcony. It was clean with a small but adequate bathroom and came with tea & coffee making facilities. The Wifi in the room could have been stronger but was ok downstairs. Breakfast was simple but sufficient and the restaurant is open late for a beer. The staff and management are very good. Late in the evening, the restaurant manager noted that we wanted to rent bicycles but although new, they were both men’s frames. He immediately requested a new model with a ladies frame which was delivered after breakfast the next morning. The hotel manager is also very good and organised Tuk Tuk transport to the airport at 5:00am, an early wake-up call and small packed breakfast. He was always available to provide advice and guidance and printed our check-in documents as required.

We had a lovely 2-night stay in Negombo. The location is perfect—just a short drive from the airport, which made our arrival and departure super easy. The place was very clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was fresh and tasty every morning, and we especially enjoyed sitting by the canal—such a peaceful spot to start the day. Highly recommended for a comfortable and convenient stay near the airport!

It is located in a quiet street within easy reach of the town centre. Nice room with comfy bed and good shower in the bathroom. Good breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. The balcony was a bonus, with views of the canal and church. We will stay again.

Good location for getting to the airport if you have an early flight, and walking distance to shops and places to eat around Main Street. You can get a tuktuk on PickMe to the beach area, about 10 minutes drive. Lovely view over the church and canal at the back of the hotel. The hotel is simple but everything is clean and in good condition, the rooms are quiet and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They even provided a packed sandwich for us because we had to leave before breakfast started.

Excellent accomodation close to the airport and very well priced. We arrived at midnight. The hotel staff were still available to pick us up from the airport. The room was spacious clean with a comfortable bed. Had a fabulous shower and tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast in the morning was exceptional, we ate in the gorgeous courtyard garden. A small boutique hotel set up 2 years ago by a lovely couple who run it with kind and helpful staff who assisted with our bags despite the time we arrived. They also graciously exchanged some cash to smaller denominations for us. They also arranged a clean well priced taxi transfer to our next accomodation near Galle. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The owners were wonderful and kind and so hospitable. The host picked us up at the airport at midnight and bought us back there. It’s about a 5 minute drive. Rooms were spacious, clean and fresh with very comfortable beds and pillows. And we had the most delicious breakfast which was home cooked. We felt so well looked after. Great first impression of Sri Lanka.

I had an early flight and needed a place close to the airport, so I chose this hostel. Yes, it's near train tracks and you can hear some noise from the airport, but it's so worth it. The family here is incredibly accommodating—they arranged a Tuk Tuk for me at 3:30 AM for just 800 rupees without any hassle. This hostel is seriously underrated. It's one of the nicest places I've stayed at, with no bunk beds, clean rooms, balcony’s in the dorm and air conditioning. It felt like staying at a rich auntie's house! It's the perfect place to relax, order some Uber Eats, and get a good night's sleep before an early flight. The family is super friendly, and their little pups add a homey touch. The mom even cut up fresh fruit and left it in the fridge for me since my flight was so early. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for comfort and warmth before a flight.

The location was absolutely amazing. My friends and I stayed at the villa and it was very convenient as there were 2 supermarkets just at walking distance. The restaurant serves good food at a reasonable price, a terrific Sri Lankan breakfast and the chef is great. Comfy sunloungers and a cold shower were welcome by the pool. We spent a very lazy couple of days and would highly recommend The Cottage as a great place to chill before a flight home.

The Cottage is a haven of peace and tranquility set away from the town so excellent for a relaxing break. Pool area is clean with comfortable loungers and the pool temperature is just right for a refreshing dip when it becomes too warm . Food is excellent with the Sri Lankan breakfast being a delicious experience not to be missed. The highlight of my trip was the boat tour through the Dutch canal as an opportunity to see the surrounding area and wildlife. Nothing was too much trouble for the team who were consistently welcoming and respectful.

Before our flight back, we were looking for a nice hotel with a swimming pool to celebrate our son’s birthday. This hotel was truly our ‘coup de cœur’—even better than the five-star hotel we stayed in before, and at a fraction of the price. The staff was exceptionally attentive and even surprised our son with a cake and balloons. The atmosphere is peaceful, the restaurant serves delicious food all day, and the swimming pool is simply perfect.

The staff is super friendly and personal. The propriety is new and quite beautiful with several individual "bungalows" around the pool area and a restaurant. The pool is beautiful and the room is super comfortable. The place is not far from the airport but in a quiet area so the prefect place to unwind after a long flight and start your trip, good Value for Money also.

We loved that the hotel is situated a little way from the main road as it felt more remote and relaxing - swimming in the pool you can only hear the birds. The rooms are air conditioned, spacious and clean. The food at the restaurant is delicious - we loved the crab curry and fish of the day. The staff are amazing, Mr Fernando was so friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. We loved the sunset boat tour with him. The perfect start to our holiday.

We went there directly after arriving in Sri Lanka. It was fast and easy to get there from the airport and we were allowed to use the pool area before our check in. We really loved our spacious apartment with two bathrooms. The pool was super nice with an entrance directly to the beach and beach view. The stuff was friendly.

Very nice apartments with friendly and well-speaking english stuff. It is very clean and the apartments are really spacious and nice with everything you need: kitchen incl washing machine, microwave, fridge, utilities etc. the balcony is facing the sea which is beautiful, and we felt very comfortable there. There is no restaurant inside which is not a problem as the hotel is located close to many restaurants and bars. The pool is clean and unfortunately we couldn’t use it as often as we wished due to limited time, but the apartments are absolutely worth their money.

Hotel Sico is located near Negombo beach and perfect for a short stay / starting point of your journey. Souvenir shops and restaurants are in walking distance. Safe parking lot in front of the door was a big plus point because the streets near the beach are quite narrow. The room was really spacious and clean. We were allowed to use the pool even after check out which was really nice. Great hotel staff. Everything went smooth. :)

We had 24 hours of accessibility and that was so convenient. All the nice pubs and the beach are just within five minutes walk.😍 the room we had was so spacious and clean. Very attentive and pleasant staff helped to make our stay even better. Watching the sunset at the rooftop infinity pool bar was a perfect end to the day. Room spacious and comfortable - room temperature was perfect. Lovely breakfasts too. Glad we were able to spend a couple of nights here.

Lovely room, great location close to the main restaurant areas, and a wonderful rooftop bar with infinity pool. A perfect way to chill on our final days and the staff were excellent throughout the hotel.

The concierge was extremely helpful and the view was fabulous. The infinity pool and bar was out of this world at sunset

An old property that's well looked after. Clean basic room in main building due to our late arrival, there are other rooms located in the garden around the pool for longer stays. Beautiful Gardens with a large pool. Friendly helpful staff. Free transfer late at night from the airport and quick check-in, which allowed us to get straight into the room for some much needed sleep. Ideal for late night arrival, waking to the peaceful surroundings is a great way to start any trip.

We flew in late and just needed a place to stay for the night before moving on to a tour. The deluxe room was large and comfortable so we were able to get a good night's rest after a long flight. In the morning we discovered a really nice pool in a tropical garden setting and enjoyed a cooked breakfast then hung out in the pool until it was time to check out. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Keep in mind this is not a five-star hotel and does not pretend to be. But they deliverer three star very well and provide terrific value.

Pool was amazing. Grounds were beautiful and green and interesting to walk around. An oasis in the airport district. Staff were smiling and obliging. Transfer was easy even though it was a late night flight. Balcony opened on to the pool and grounds. Lovely spot to read a book.

We booked the hotel to use as a waiting location for a midnight flight. We booked the basic room which was exceptionally comfortable with great ac and a fan. They have a great pool with shaded pool lounges. Had dinner which was fantastic and they even provide a 15 minute complimentary airport transfers.

Only negative with no fault of the hotel is there is construction of a huge hotel next door that should be complete in 6 months.

The hotel was beautiful. It has a private beach, spacious and modern rooms, even the theme of the lobby is super cute like a submarine or boat. The view was beautiful. The staff were informative and friendly and helpful. The beach is quite clean and swimmable (just as good as browns beach, you don't have to go over there). The pool makes you feel like your in a lake with the plants beside it.

The room was spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The hosts were also nice and helpful. It was the most convenient to have an airport transfer and a little breakfast included. Overall, it was perfect for my 1-night stay.

We had an amazing experience with this property. Localised minor flooding had occurred around the airport that day. The owner took the time to drive us somewhere we could get dinner and drinks and woke up very early in the morning to drop us at the airport and ensure we avoided floodwaters. All at no extra cost. They also upgraded us to a room with seperate beds when they realised we were just two friends travelling, again at no extra cost. Truly amazing service. The room was lovely and clean and perfect as a transit hotel. Highly recommend

the location is perfect! very close to everything you need. Close to the airport, atm, grocery store. The location is perfect after/ or before catching a flight but also to relax and enjoy holiday since it is also very close to a beautiful secret river, definitely worth to see!!! Everything was completely clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi in the room was working amazing. I am a solo-female-traveler and I felt very safe. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially with my further travels and the transit to the airport.

Small family guesthouse with many rooms. Stuff is friendly and helpfully. Bed is big and comfortable, bathroom small, but clean. Air conditioner is dont have but have a electric fun. All inclusive so breakfast, lunch and dinner include so if you work online and don't want think the food in this quiet place is perfect. Wifi is really good. Tap water not good to drink but you can buy water $1 is 2 bottle. If you hungry cook for you just say in time what you want. Possible go the cheap daytrip if the weather is fine. Airport transfer available. Have close a bus stop to many direction.

Only good notes here. Mario is extremely helpful host, he gave us tons of very useful advice about Srí Lanka, also he helped to pin down the perfect travel itinary plan around the country. He offers free ride to the airport, but if you would like to discover Negombo and/or the surrounding area, he is the perfect guide also. He arranges a nice trip to the nearby river, which was really beautiful! Highly recommend this place, a perfect spot to arrive to / or before leaving Srí Lanka. Also the room was super clean, with a mini kitchenette area (sink, kettle), the bed and bedsheet were super comfy.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the location is easy to get to by a taxi or a tuk tuk from the airport. The host is very helpful and welcoming, every morning I woke up to different homemade breakfast and they were all so delicious! I ended up extending a few nights more to take a proper break from long travelling :)

Our room was so comfortable, nice and quiet with an amazing view of the pool and beach. Staff in all areas were so friendly, helpful and eager to make sure you were enjoying your stay. Both pools were fantastic. The restaurant setting was so relaxing and airy serving the most delicious food with so much choice.

This hotel had great staff, a very nice pool overlooking the beach and another pool facing the dining area. The rooms were clean, comfortable beds, great air conditioning and a good selection of food for breakfast. The beach was very quiet in November and nice to walk along.

The hotel is right on Negombo beach , It’s great for a night or two despite the price. The restaurant has a fantastic buffet Food is plenty and delicious . It has nice refurbished rooms with balconies , Two great swimming pools and a pleasant setting But avoid weekends when locals literally invade the premises and goes into the swimming pools fully dressed in family , that’s the bad side of this hotel when you want to have a quiet break after a tour of Sri Lanka . Also the checking can be long and painful when groups arrive at the same time.

The location is stunning, situated on the beachfront with a small infinity pool. It boasts a vast beach area and offers a very friendly environment, welcoming both local travelers and outsiders alike. The staff is exceptionally friendly and always attends to your needs promptly, creating a comfortable atmosphere for a beach stay. Additionally, it is conveniently close to the main airport at Katunayake.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was great, comfy bed, clean bathroom, with a balcony and beautiful view of the pool, beach and sea. The breakfast choice was really good with fruit, various eggs and coffee. The location was fantastic. A 25 minute journey from the airport, walking distance to plenty of bars and restaurants. We enjoyed walking along the sea front to the Sunday market and into the centre of Negombo to see the town. Easy to get around with tuktuks too. The sea was warm and safe to swim in, and the pool was lovely and refreshing.

I loved the location of this hotel. It's a great hotel to travel to and from the airport. It is on the beach, far from the city's noise and traffic. It has a lovely pool and garden area. The pool is ideal for children, and also perfect for a dip on a hot day. I enjoyed the sea view from the sunbeds. Some of the front rooms have great sea view balconies. The managers and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I had some delicious vegan pancakes for breakfast.

Clean and comfortable rooms in a beautiful location. We were given a complimentary suite upgrade by the manager. Room had views of the swimming pool and lagoon. Breakfast buffet which was included in the stay was very tasty and had a lot of variety. We will definitely return to this hotel.

It's worth the money. Staff was friendly. The room was clean. Unfortunately, we were there for only one night and were not able to take full advantage of their restaurant/bar/coffee shop. The pool area is pleasant for a night walk, and the gym has sufficient space and equipment to get a good workout in. We will be staying here on a future trip to the Colombo NCR area.

The location is isolated, in a beautiful garden on the edge of a quiet sandy beach. Transport is readily available thanks to Klaus. The pool is amazing, breakfast and dinner suited us perfectly. Chill out!!!

The hotel is situated in a calm location and is very close to the beach. The room we had was very big and clean. The pool is really nice, our kid loved it. She also liked feeding Egbert the turtle! It was an excellent and relaxing (but too short😊) stay to end our trip through Sri Lanka. Thank you Markus for your hospitality and for being such a great host. You made use feel very welcome and you were very helpful.

Very nice and helpful staff! Special service: Manager Dinesh drives you to/from the airport for free (half hour drive) and helps you organize whatever tour you like to do. Absolutely recommendable for the first or last one or two nights!

The hospitality was exceptional. Mr Dinesh recieved us at airport in the middle of night. Great service. When my child got sick he took her to hospital also. A very kind gesture from the hotel was they arranged for special food for my daughter during her illness. The location of the hotel is simply excellent. We stayed here for one night on arrival before starting a few weeks travelling in Sri Lanka. Wonderful very large and very clean, well presented room with sea views. WiFi in the rooms is not great... The hotel is close to the airport and there is free pick up and drop off service. There is a garden across the road, with tables and chairs (but we were not made aware of this until leaving). There is a safe natural sea pool just across from the hotel and you can walk for quite a distance. There is also a small pool but no loungers or anywhere to sit by it. We had dinner in the hotel. The prawns were delicious but the seafood mix was not the best. The manager Dinesh goes out of his way to help and arrange any trips you may want. Dinesh arranged a tour of Colombo and the driver/ guide, Avishka was excellent, a very pleasant guy. He also took us to the main Dialog mobile shop for a Sim card, which was great value compared to the airport. Overall for the price, this hotel is ideal for your first night on arrival or last night before departing the next day from the airport. (excluding the extra charge we had for early check-in).

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Extremely good value. Also, the WIFI was super-fast. Arrived at the middle of the night and transport from the airport was organized easily, and still the staff was welcoming and the service is excellent. Really nice rooftop terrace with a Lagoon view.

This was our 2nd time. The owner was very friendly and supportive. The rooms are very quiet and immaculate, bed was huge and so comfortable. The A/C worked well; the room was very clean too. Also, the beach is very nice and can see the sun set from the hotel rooftop. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. 100% recommended.

Spotless throughout and great location, literally 3 minutes from departures at Bandaranaike Airport. There’s a brand new pool but hadn’t opened yet so good for future travellers. The aircon was ice cold and quiet and you get free tea and coffee and fresh bottled water each day. The staff were wonderful and kind. We got a TukTuk for just over £2 to Negombo Beach so it’s not isolated. Use the PickMe app when in Sri Lanka.

We will use this hotel again. Big clean room and has a great unwind pool. 1km walk to/from Airport if you don't want to use the free shuttle, which was spot on time. Restaurant makes delicious food, the entire place is bigger, more comfortable and more professional than it looks in photos

We initially chose Ayana Beach Hotel because of its proximity to the airport and planned to explore Colombo city during our stay. However, from the moment we arrived, the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere completely captured us, and we found ourselves happily spending most of our time at the hotel instead. We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is located in a quiet area, away from Colombo’s busy streets, offering the perfect escape for anyone seeking comfort and tranquility. A special thanks to Khalil, who was extremely helpful, kind, and hardworking, meeting him was truly a pleasure. The rest of the staff were amazing too. Gomez Place is a great place to unwind. Rooms are very spacious with outdoor seating areas to take in the views of the extensive gardens. The staff are very warm and friendly and nothing is a trouble for them. Gomez himself is the friendliest owner we have come across in our travels. The pool and pool area is more than enough to cool down and lie out in the sun. You get all of this at a very reasonable room rate. We will definitely be back some day.

I only stayed at Gomez Place for one night, but wish I'd stayed longer. I liked the lovely garden, the peace and quiet, the refreshing pool, basically everything. The room was spacious--the bathroom alone was bigger than some of my entire hotel rooms in Sri Lanka. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast and attentive staff. The location is about a 10 min walk to the beach and some good restaurants. Don't forget to bring some mosquito repellent!

The rooms are very nice, comfortable beds and well cleaned. Good hot shower and we had to work from the hotel, so the WiFi was quite good. Nice and clean swimming pool, beautiful view of the beach and really nice sunset. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is well served and plenty options. The restaurant is very good. We did the massage at the hotel which I strongly recommend.

Staff is friendly, attentive and polite - restaurant staff Saman and Rukmal were exceptional. Amazing selection of breakfast items, which changed everyday - they even make fresh peni appam (honey hoppers) and have kola kanda. Pool area clean, staff present to help with sun loungers and to assist with moving them around to escape the noon sun. Marvellous access to beach, were you can relax and also go on a katamaran ride (run by a local company).

If you're looking for a budget-friendly option for your stay in Negombo, I highly recommend the Le Meridien Hostel. The owner, Denis, is incredibly kind and welcoming, offering us plenty of information about Sri Lanka and helping us to plan our itinerary. While the accommodations are simple, they are clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for a pleasant stay, including a comfortable bed, clean bathroom, and reliable Wi-Fi. The highlight of our stay, however, was the delicious breakfast served daily. It was a great way to start the day and kept us fueled for our adventures. Overall, I couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at Le Meridien Hostel. The combination of friendly service, clean accommodations, and delicious breakfast made for a fantastic experience. If you're looking for a great budget-friendly option in Negombo, this is definitely the place to stay.

The place is situated in a vary quiet and green area. The family running the place is very very kind and helpful all the time. They put a lot of effort managing the homestay and you can see it, for example, from the care they put in the garden (very tidy and green). Room was very clean and with nice smell and the balcony has a wonderful view. They provided me drinking water and coffee at the check in and anytime I needed. They can also arrange pick up from airport, but unless you are at least a group of 4,5,6 people (so you can share the cost) it's more convenient book the pick up yourself through the Uber app. Food is superb, delicious and typical local family Sry Lankan homemade and surely cheaper then any restaurant around. I feel very satisfied with my stay and I look forward to be back!

Excellent homestay near the airport and in a quiet neighbourhood with very kind and attentive hosts! The dinner and breakfast were great, with many options and fresh ingredients and fruits. The room was clean, tidy and very comfortable. The hosts gave me a lot of useful information and suggestions that made my journey and planning much easier. I will definitely stay again with this family and would highly recommend it to anybody who is looking for a quiet place for a relaxing stay before continuing elsewhere in Sri Lanka or abroad.

We felt very welcome and relaxed during our stay. The room is really nice, airy and spacious, with a small balcony. The shared bathroom was very clean and cleaned every day. We also had breakfast and dinner, that was delicious, homemade with all those fresh ingredients. Dennis is super friendly and loves to have a talk with you. He is always available to help you if necessary. Thanks for this nice and relaxed stay!

It is in a great location, only 20 minutes from Negombo railway station and 10-15 minutes from the airport. Dennis and Sriyani were wonderful hosts and were extremely welcoming and helpful during our stay. They cooked us a wonderful dinner and breakfast that I would highly recommend ordering. The property and room are clean, spacious, and very comfortable; their dogs are very cute, too! I would highly recommend staying here, it’s great value for money and is sure to be a lovely stay.

Good location, approx. 10 mins by car from the aiport. Rooms and linens were clean, equipped with all of the basic necessities, wifi was good and functional. Restaurant on site was quite pricey for drinks and dinner, but breakfast included in price was good and filling. There aren't any other restaurant or anything else to do in the direct neighborhood, so I recommend arriving at the villa when you are ready to get comfy and go to sleep. Airport shuttle the next morning arrived on time. Overall a good airport hotel experience!

I arrived at 1am after my flight was delayed and the owner was still waiting up to greet me. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet, with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty with fresh coconut juice, fried eggs and sausages, and fruit. It’s just 15 minutes to Colombo airport so very handy for a stopover. There was a bit of confusion over payment - I had prepaid having booked through hotels.com but the owner seemed to have no record of this and asked me to pay again but we soon got it sorted.

The location is close to the airport, and they provide free transfers, which is convenient. The room was clean, and we had a comfortable stay. The staff was very nice, and I want to especially thank Khan for his hospitality and the delicious breakfast he provided. The hotel was definitely worth the money we paid. We stayed there after a night flight, and it was a perfect choice for a restful stopover.

The rooms are big, clean and we were in luck to get a room with pool view. The staff is very friendly, you can sit by the pool and order beverages and they also serve delicious breakfast/lunch. The pool water is chilly, which is a great escape from the heat during the day. The location is also nice, close to bars and restaurant and to Colombo beach. They also offer free airport transfer.

On arrival you're greeted by friendly staff, the reception and common area is spacious well decorated and is more than one could expect from a Hotel. I will repeat that the Staff specially Ayani and the young gentleman who work the front desk and even the owner is always around and always willing to assist in any way they can. The food they serve is delicious and made fresh, the pool is decently sized and the location is perfect with shops, restaurants and other amenities around and it's just a 5 minute walk from the lovely Negombo Beach.

We only stayed for our last day in Sri Lanka, on route to the airport. It had a pool, good location close to the beach and restaurants, was clean and comfortable. They had a free shuttle to the airport which was a great bonus. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Leighton resort is a quiet place within walking distance to the beach and many restaurants and shops. A large pool, spacious, clean rooms and fantastic value for money characterize Leighton Resort. The owner Krishan and his team try to fulfill all the wishes of the guests. Here is a place to stay even for a long time. We booked the resort for 13 days and extended our stay for another week.

Great room, with balcony, big and clean with a great bathroom. The pool was welcoming and nice to cool off. Good location near plenty of restaurants and the beach. The airport drop off was really appreciated. Thoroughly recommend.

The twelve rooms are positioned around a complex of internal channels of water or by the one of two pools. It is quite ,peaceful & relaxing. The staff were all very friendly & helpful. Breakfast & dinner could be taken on one of the terraces or by the pool. Our stay here was an absolute delight after a busy two weeks exploring Sri Lanka

Villa Hundira is a unique little gem, close to the airport. J is an amazing host and was helpful and welcoming. The villa is absolutely beautiful. So many little hideaways to sit and read or just look at the view across the Negumbo Lagoon. The swimming pools are fabulous and there are many places to sunbathe. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner and it was all really nice.

Our third visit to Villa Hundira-the perfect place for the first and last days in Sri Lanka. All the staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful. Food was excellent. Having two swimming pools is a bonus. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet. With the exception of the aircraft noise when they flew over, but this did not detract from our enjoyment of staying there.

Extremly helpful staff, very friendly and always catering to our special requests. The property is very spacious with 2 pools and lots of old trees. Dining tables are spread out around the property, so you dine in a different location always. All rooms are individually and very tastefully decorated by the owner with local art and tapestry. The enclosed property is very quiet. It is located directly at the lagoon, so you enjoy a fresh breeze all day long.

An absolute hidden gem.It was an Oasis and so relaxing. We stayed here on the last night of our trip and I wished we had stayed for longer. The staff were absolutely delightful and so respectful, friendly and polite The food was excellent The room was AMAZING. The pools were beautiful. It was immaculately clean. We loved the shop selling crafts made by local ladies and bought lots of beautiful things. I can not recommend this place enogh- honestly it was truly magical.

Jaya Villa is the perfect property for an airport stay over. We booked the accommodation as we had a midnight flight and needed to rest and shower prior to the late flight with our kids. Jaya Villa is run by the most beautiful welcoming family who will go above and beyond to ensure you have a comfortable stay. The Father took us for the airport for our flight taking the stress of the transfer away. They also arrange airport pick up for a small fee so make sure you communicate with the in advance to arrange an airport transfer. We were welcome with a beautiful pot of Sri Lanka coffee and home made sweets and also offered dinner. The rooms are clean, comfortable and cool, perfect for a stay. It is also a short walk to Negombo lagoon which has lots of restraints and bars to ensure sunset on the lagoon. Thank you for a lovely stay! Highly recommended

Jaya Villa is the perfect property. The accommodation was extremely clean. The room and air condition was 5 star. Breakfast was adequate and well served. They gave us fresh fruit juice when we arrived. We were welcome with a beautiful pot of coffee . We only stayed one night to be close to the airport . They organized a taxi without any hassle. The garden was very beautiful . It's the perfect place to relax and get a good night's sleep before an early flight. The family is super friendly. They make foods very tasty. We finished our trip here and it was a calm oasis in Negombo. The staff were friendly and attentive, the rooms have been well decorated and the pool is lovely to relax in. The staff can provide pool towels and sunbed cushions for you. The hotel is a short walk from some shops, restaurants and the main beach, but the hotel also has its own restaurant and the pool is much nicer than the beach!

I was probably the nicest hotel we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. The room was very big, had a terrace, garden access and beutiful interior design. We ate all our meals in the hotel restaurant and we were very satisfied (breakfast wasn't the biggest, but still very tasty). We spent time by the pool, which was very clean; the staff provided pool towels. The staff was very helpful and welcoming, they also organised a tuk tuk to the airport for us.

Lovely decoration and beautiful interiors. Lovely pool and a nice restaurant next door run by them! Staff were super friendly and welcomed us with a smoothie when we arrived. We enjoyed the pool a lot! Location was quiet and close to the beach about 10 mins walk.

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Elephant. We had a large balcony over looking the local area. The room was spacious with a cupboard, tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, comfortable bed with nice towels. The pool area clean and spacious. Their restaurant, The Tusk offered a great menu at reasonable prices. Their presentation of their dishes was great. We eat there several times over our stay. Our included breakfast was delicious and available whenever we came down. The highlight for us was their staff, always happy, always attentive and always there.

Great small boutique hotel. We stayed 2 nights before heading out in Sri Lanka which was perfect - the hotel does a tasty Sri Lankan breakfast if you ask for it, clean pool, friendly staff, hot shower and nice rooms! There is a restaurant in the hotel, one around the corner and many a short walk away near the beach. The staff also let us check in a couple hours earlier which we were really grateful for after a long flight! Recommended.

It is a villa with a beautiful garden and pool . the room was spacious , clean ,had small fridge, table, wardrop and good separated shower and toilet. I stayed only one night to relax and catch my flight early morning . the pool is clean with beach chair . the location is good i guess ,close to the main beach road full of shops and restaurants .and not far from the Airport 20 min. the manager was so nice welcoming us with fresh drinks and smiling all time. Great welcome when I arrived and very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very clean, good and warm shower. The location is quiet becauseit lays 200m of the main road. Rooms are surrounded by a beautiful garden. I came back here the night before my return flight and again the stay was perfect and great service. The day after they let me use the garden and pool during the day while waiting for my return flight, incl. tea service and shower possibilities. Great service and many thanks!!

It was a pleasure to stay in this green and tranquile paradise tucked away in a quiet side street in Negombo. Garden and pool were beautifully maintained, the room was spacious and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a perfect last night before going back home.

Amazing stay, amazing people, amazing location! The hosts were so accommodating & brought me tea while I checked in, gave me a history of the area and some local recommendations. The room I stayed in was clean, bright & had an amazing view of the beach across the way. I highly recommend the Marine Tourist Guest House for anyone that wants a clean, safe, central experience in Negombo!

The hosts were very helpful and friendly. Anytime we needed something they would help out. We arrived in the middle of the night and they were waiting for us to check us in. We had a nice clean room with a sea view. It was a quiet place but still central. Few minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. The breakfast was good and tasted homemade. We would recommend this place when staying in negombo.

We only stopped here for one night as we were flying home the next morning - we didn’t have breakfast as we were leaving at 615am The lady who runs this small hotel is friendly and helpful Our room was v large on the 5th floor with a balcony , a very large, super comfy bed and an adequate bathroom ( hot water). It was very clean. There is a safe too. We ate next door in a little restaurant that does not take cards -only cash - had lovely curry and rice and friendly staff too.

Great find in ideal location. Lovely hotel, very kind and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful breakfast with fruit, eggs and toast plus great Sri Lankan dishes. Gave us a great insight into local dishes and what to look out for on our travels. Great airport pickup. Good value for money. Perfect location a short stroll to beach and great restaurants. Staff were friendly and always willing to help (they even stored my extra luggage so I could travel around Sri Lanka light before spending one last night in Negombo!) with anything I needed. And breakfast was great: juice, plenty of fruit, yogurt, coffee, eggs & toast plus an always different Sri Lankan delicacy. I will stay there again if I am back in Negombo.

The location is perfect and the staff was so nice. We were leaving before breakfast so they prepared us some bananas and coffee before we left. There is a small pool that is perfect for a quick bath.

It’s very clean and fresh hotel with lovely pool area. Compared to some other places I have stayed in Sri Lanka this place has a very high standards.

A very clean and basic accommodation. I really loved the energy of the man who works in reception. He makes lovely breakfast and is also a very good photographer and will happily take photos of you by the pool.

The location was right on the beach but also had a pool. The sea was a bit rough so we swam in the pool and just soaked in our first day in Sri Lanka. We went for a walk and. Ended up at the local markets which was really cool. It was overcast that day so perfect for a day of exploration.

This hotel is in the perfect location. Situated right on the beach with lots of restaurants and nice shops nearby and not far from the airport. The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. The pool area has also just been renovated so it’s extremely clean and the rooftop bar is the perfect spot to watch the sunsets. I would definitely return to this hotel as the staff were so inviting and helpful.

I loved everything about the hotel. The theme was so nice. The pool is not so big but clean and nice. The garden area was also clean and had a good view of the sea. The room has everything you'll need, decent bathroom facilities, with hot water in good working condition. The bed was so comfy. There is a working desk in the room and the balcony had a great view and chairs to sit and relax. The WiFi connection was great. The staffs were so friendly. The food was top notch and very reasonable for the price. So nearby the beach, you can visit and come back easily.

We were here with a group of 12 girls. We were welcomed with a nice table for us and breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the ac was very good and cold in the room. The breakfast was very nice lot of fruits and omelettes made freshly. Also nice ambient music. Rooftop had a very beautiful view and the waiters were very sweet and played some music. Pool was clean and enough deck chairs to lay on. The waiters even went out to buy packs of cigarettes for our group so helpful and friendly. Very good stay!!

Hotel Dorset is an absolute gem of a family-run business that truly captures the warmth and hospitality Sri Lanka is known for. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with a fresh watermelon juice — such a thoughtful touch after a long journey! My room was sparkling clean, spacious, and fully air-conditioned (and let me tell you, the Aircon was ice cold – I didn’t even need to touch my Panadol!). The bathroom was spotless and well-equipped, featuring both a shower and a bathtub, plus a small private balcony which would be perfect if you’re a smoker or just want to enjoy the evening breeze. The hosts went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. They even helped me organize a private cab to Kandy at a very reasonable price and pointed me to the best kottu roti spot in town – Jhonys, just 500m away. The beach is about an 800m walk, but honestly, I was happier staying here than right by the shore. Knowing that this lovely family has been running the hotel since 2001, surviving the 2004 tsunami and the COVID years, and still standing strong is a testament to their dedication and resilience. If you want genuine hospitality, clean comfort, and local recommendations straight from the heart — Hotel Dorset is where you should stay. ❤️

The owner is charming, hospitable & helpful. His staff similarly efficient and friendly. My room was large, very clean & comfortable with a wrap-around balcony that had a pleasant enough view over the neighbourhood. As others have mentioned, this is an old building and a humble establishment but very comfortable & well maintained nevertheless. Breakfast was great & filling, with plenty of delicious, home-made goodies.

I only stayed for one night at Hotel Dorset before catching my flight the next morning and will definitely be back for a longer stay! The place is lovely! Clean and cozy and very comfy beds (and mosquito nets:)). The hosts are so kind and caring, they greeted me with fresh juice and offered to make me an evening meal, and made me the most delicious breakfast before I left. They were also drove me to the airport the next morning and made sure that I got there safely, which I am incredibly grateful for. An absolute pleasure to stay here and to meet these wonderful people:)

Owner operated, lovely people, couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. The location is convenient to many good quality food outlets, shops and the beach. Clean, everything worked, and again, a secure, family owned welcoming stay.

Clean and comfortable. Great staff. Mainly a family business. Very helpful. Awesome breakfast! Good location close to beach. Bed was very comfortable too. Even did my laundry. 😊

I had a wonderful experience staying at Ryan Residence. Chanaka is such a kind and welcoming host — always ready to help with anything you need. He truly goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. The rooms are well-equipped with everything you might need, clean, and very comfortable. The location is perfect — close to everything but still peaceful. One of the highlights is the beautiful rooftop terrace with a stunning view — a great place to relax at any time of day.

After a long flight and a very stressful first day, this residence rejuvenated me, restored my energy, and renewed my confidence in enjoying this new country. The receptionist Mr Sonil (i hope i’m spelling it correctly) was very welcoming and attentive to all my needs, he also offered me free breakfast and lunch! The location of the residence is great, quiet and very close to beach street. The property is also very beautiful and surrounded by very luscious greens. Note: i booked what was indicated as a bed in a dormitory room but it turned out to be a private king sized bed room with private bathroom. So yeey me i guess 😅❤️

One of the best property in negombo , very clean and calming, feel like home , they got a garden also u can relax , room are spacious, nd chanaka in the reception is amazing, he is very attentive, and help u in all the way he can , i really recommend 100 % to all , nd need to mention beach is very near by and station

Really comfortable place to stay for a couple of days that was located round the corner from the main road. WiFi worked really well and the shower was really good. The property was being ran by Chanaka all on his own and he was doing an exceptional job. The room was clean when we arrived and he was always available if we needed anything and gave us all the information we needed when we arrived. He also carried all our bags up 2 flights of stairs which was very kind of him. He’s a great guy.

Amazing, quite and very comfortable place. Angela is an amazing person and you will feel like home. The rooms are big, clean and comfy. The breakfast is good. Nice swimming pool.

I had a wonderful stay at Brisa Marina. Angel, the hostess, welcomed me with a fruit juice. My room was super clean ans comfortable. I had a kettle, cups and glasses, sugar, tea and coffee and even access to the kitchen and fridge. The highlight for me was the pool complete with deckchairs. The location was also good, close to the beach and the main road. WiFi and AC were working great.

The rooms are incredible clean, spacious and have beautiful high ceilings. The pool area is well maintained and big plus. The staff was really welcoming and helpful. They offered water bottles and waited quite some time at the airport to pick us up (1,5 hours delay).

Large clean room with AC and a fan. Lovely seating area on the shared balcony. Nice pool. 5 minute walk to bars and restaurants, 10 minute walk to the beach
