The bed is comfortable, the room is clean, and everyone is friendly and willing to help. The swimming pool is nice and has clean towels. The location is perfect. We even walk to the Mall of Africa.

The front desk and lobby staff was very professional, the restaurant staff, food, and drinks were exceptional. The rooms were lovely and clean. The lobby and pool area were nice for socializing with our friends and family.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel. Beautiful and exceptionally clean facilities, the perfect location and gorgeous views all around. The staff were very kind and welcoming. Loved the location and setting outside by the pool. It has a hidden view over the pool and dam you cannot see from the road.

The staff were excellent and the rooms were just what we needed. Travelled with two teenage boys, and they had their own room that was interlinked to our room. That made communication easier and gave us a sense of being together. The rooms were clean. Our room had a queen bed while the boys had two double beds in their room. Our room had a balcony that overlooked the swimming pool and duck pond area. Breakfast was amazing, and we had a memorable stay. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was spotless, and the breakfast was absolutely exceptional — a great variety and everything so fresh! My little girl had the best time swimming in the kids’ pool. It was such a pleasant and relaxing stay — we’ll definitely be coming back.

The design of the hotel is beautiful, the pool area was very nice, everything was clean, clean linen and hotel room. Tea and coffee provided in the rooms. The rooms are lovely. Easy access and good parking.

We stayed here for a week in mid-October as part of a large group on a cricket tour. It’s very central with excellent sporting facilities and it suited the group perfectly. The staff throughout the resort also went above and beyond to help. The reason for the 4 stars is that, for a place that is very sport-orientated, the hotel gym and swimming pool were very disappointing! There is definitely room in the grounds for a decent sized pool - can’t really understand why it’s missing? All in all though, a great stay!

Helpful, friendly staff. Very nice, spacious room. Plenty of good toiletries, great bar for happy hour, good meals in restaurant. Great start to the holiday! Good breakfast: fruit, yogurt, juice, hot and cold buffet, pastries, toast, tea or coffee. Staff arranged private minibus tour to Soweto area: Surprise gift of gateau for evening dessert for our belated 50th wedding anniversary holiday! Convenient for site-seeing of historic locations. Lovely garden, pool and environment. Convenient for onward car travel to Kruger.

the hotel is perfect for a stay in Johannesburg since it is located well, it is safe and well protected. Mattress very comfortable and inside there is anything you need, breakfast, garden, pool, dinner lunches etc.. All Staff is super nice and welcoming

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Protea Hotel Wanderers. The hotel has been recently refurbished and has a modern , relaxing and warm ambience throughout the hotel. A great outdoor and indoor dining area and pool. Lovely views of the lush greenery surrounding the hotel. There was afternoon entertainment which was a nice touch to the great atmosphere at the hotel. Our room was spacious , neat, clean with modern refurbishments. The cuisine was great and the service from all staff was excellent. Overall, I would recommend the hotel to corporate and leisure travellers.

We booked for a one night stay ( checked in Friday and checked out Saturday), so that we could go to the Wandereers sadium for the international cricket match. Check-in was seamless - quick and fast - thank you Joachim. The property has been recently refurbished. The interior design and layout is comfortable and modern. The room was clean , neat , with every modern feature/amenities on hand. The design and decor of the room is fab as it creates a lovely ambiance. Fantastic access via the Wanderers club to reach the stadium from the hotel - good easy walk. Security personnel are hands on and visible which is very reassuring. After the match we went to the outside bar/restaurant dining area - it was lovely and picturesque. Comfortable seating and layout and exceptional customer service. Big shout out to MUSA, NONDUMISO and SECHABA from the dining /outside bar restaurant area. They personfiy customer centricity with their fantastic service levels - super impressive. The food, drinks and beverages we ordered , was really good. The food was tasty and freshly prepared. Thank you to NOMA for a seamless checkout and service with a smile. Overall would recommend the hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 1 night stop at the Saxon. For reasons unknown they upgraded me to the palatial presidential suite which was very generous of them, but even regardless of that, I thought the hotel was great - especially the lovely terrace area overlooking the expansive pool that stretches towards the front of the property. Quality fresh fruit juices on offer, great service, and the driver they organised for me to do a city tour did an excellent job. Sandton also seems to be the nicest neighbourhood to stay in Joburg, so would highly recommend the Saxon.

Amazing property with large rooms and great service. Stayed two different times once on the hotel and the second in one of the villas that have seperate rooms but a communal area such as bar, dining area etc with own parking area accessible from main floor. Either is great. Heated and Unheated pools , excellent on site restaurant and service that is at a very high level. Great value.

The Saxon has polish and high design without feeling pretentious. We loved the use of elegant African decor pieces. Our room was a generous size, beautifully clean and designed with convenience in mind. We loved our separate bathroom vanities, and the ability to step outside our patio doors to an elegant, uncrowded pool. The service was also first rate.

We loved the tranquility of the gardens and pools. We loved the fact that this property is a hidden gem in the center of sandton which made us feel like we were in the middle of a forest, and not a large city. The High Tea was a most memorable and delightful experience.

The room was spacious and modern, including a lounge/kitchenette as well, both with a TV for Netflix. There is a small pool, but also an area of tables and chairs sitting in shallow water for reading a book and relaxing your feet at the end of the day. The Pablo restaurant was good for both breakfast and dinner. The staff were friendly and welcoming and happy to look after my bags before check-in.

We had the beach suite which was very spacious and comfortable. The pool area was small but pleasant.

This is the best property in Roodepoort🔥🔥🔥🔥. Nothing in Roodepoort comes close to this property and not even the so called Hotels in Sandton. This property should charge same amount as hotels in Sandton. The rooms are spacious with air condition. The view is out of this world and the swimming pool is very clean and amazing. The host was just amazing. Definitely coming back and I'm coming back with all my friends

The place is beautiful inside and out. Everything was so perfect, from security, house interior and furniture. Then the class bar and caped with a view of the pool was just breathtaking. Definitely coming back

Room was spacious and clean. Does not do breakfast and the pool is not heated, when we arrived i wanted to go for a swim but the water was freezing cold.

The place is cosy, clean and tidy. The room I stayed in came with a fridge, microwave and aircon. The shower had good pressure flow and instant hot water. Everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Professional friendly staff. The hostess Bridget is a star; she keeps her hand on this place making sure the guests are happy and comfortable. There is also a well-equipped communal kitchen if you feel like cooking.

The room was excellent. Very quiet. Service was excellent. Bertha was exceptional. Very friendly, polite, efficient and helpful. Very close to all the major shops for convenience. I will definitely come and stay there again in the future and will recommend staying there.

the breakfast was satisfactory, it is also great that the staff serves when you are ready, you are not pressured to wake up early for breakfast. the entire property is nicely setup, from the braai area, hot tub, mini basketball court, poolside and the stunning view from our room. I won't forget how amazing the host is, he made sure that we and other guests enjoyed our stay, I like the fact that we had access to the entire property as well (bar, kitchen, dining room, arcade/pool table and cinema as well). nicely located area that gives you some peace and tranquil.

The property is in a safe environment, the pool was clean, the decor was superb and I loved all the art around the property. There’s a cinema, pool table, jacuzzi and you can even play basketball. There’s so much entertainment at the property that you don’t have to go anywhere.
