The location was great. We loved Montezuma. The hotel was clean and it was so nice to have the infinity pool just steps away from our place. The host was welcoming. No complaints.

Casitas Sollevante exceeded our expectations. The location was even more beautiful in person, there were two pools, one zero depth entry and one deeper infinity pool. The flowering plants next to the pool smelled amazing. There was a very thorough cleaning service each day which was especially nice since you could not flush toilet paper, which is common in CR, and because the floors got a little sandy from our trips to the beach. They would even wash any dishes we didn't get to. There was also an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand which was very useful. The indoor bathroom included local organic handsoap, bodywash, shampoo and conditioner that all smelled lovely. That was an unexpected plus. The onsite restaurant was excellent. The pool and the extraordinary view were really the highlights for us.

Lovely and quiet, away from the main town, just a short drive away. Wonderful views. Lovely pools and pool towels are provided. Comfortable bed. I loved the outdoor shower.

Lovely pool area, well maintained and clean! Not too busy either, property only has a small number of rooms so maybe why. Amazing views too, worth getting up early for sunrise. Restaurant was great! We had dinner and breakfast here and it was amazing. Only a small team but fab customer service, highly recommend!

Best accommodation of my trip through Costa Rica! The view and pools were stunning, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Although I read some reviews about the road to the hotel being difficult, it was no problem at all, even after big storms. The staff was friendly and helpful. 100% would recommend this place - it is the ideal spot to relax after hiking/beach days

Nice hosts and staff (the receptionist and the security guard) and really good communication before we arrived (we asked for an extra night and more questions) Modern room and hotel, everything new, clean and nice. Very nice hotel in a great location. Breathtaking sea view pool, ideal to start and end our days. The bed was super comfortable and there were always fruits, tea and coffee available for us. Also the water was filtered which speared us from having to buy. The yoga deck is also a big plus for yoga lovers: sea view, hearing the sound of waves while you practice and seeing a monkey on the nearest tree. Magical!

Gem of a hotel, nestled in a small mountain, yet only 7 min walk to the sea. Beautiful pool. Free tea/coffee provided. The info binder with local info was super handy. Also the info about the oweners Jessie & Andre and how they selected Santa Teresa to settle down after years of leading a nomadic life added a personal touch without even meeting them in person. Very clean and comfortable beds. Overall, a fantastic place to spend a few peaceful days in the nature.

We had a wonderful stay at Tango Mar! The location is absolutely stunning! We had a gorgeous ocean view! The pools were beautiful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was fantastic, very kind and friendly. The owner of the resort was also wonderful and checked in with us at dinner and breakfast to make sure our stay was going well. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset from a viewing point on the property. Our dinner at the restaurant was delicious. We would recommend this resort to anyone. We hope to return someday!

You couldn’t get a more private and beautiful beach location. Its picture post card beautiful beach is just out of this world and honestly would be difficult to beat given it’s literally a 2 km private beach…max 10 people on at any one time! Pool was really nice and swim up bar a nice touch. Our kids enjoyed the smoothies and we enjoyed the cocktails! The hotel looks like something out of a Roger Moore based James Bond movie. Tonnes of charm and unbelievable setting.

The sea front view from the room and resort was truly amazing !! The hospitality was over the top, the best I ever had.. the place is just magical! The bed was top notch with high quality lines. Infinity pool on the deck facing the sea and nature. Excludiv room with privacy and quiet.

The spectacular ocean view, the super relaxing atmosphere. The brutally great sunsets! The room was great with it's own private infinity pool. The nature surrounding Laloon is lush and awesome! The staff was great from the start until the end. Getting your breakfast served in your room every morning is fantastic! The place is so peaceful and quiet! Definitely we will return! Is only a few minutes away from all of the great restaurants and bars in the area, and the beach! Despite the terrible roads Laloon is definitely worth staying!

Best hotel we were in Costa Rica. Nestled on a small hill overlooking the beaches of Santa Theresa, it has the best views and unbeatable service. Breakfast was delicious, daily housekeeping, daily complimentary laundry service and not to mention they offer a full concierge that organizes your atv and pretty much anything else you need. The infinity pool and view is simply breathtaking to wake up to, we’ll be back every year.

This place is amazing! Where should I start? The suites are brand new and superbly decorated with an infinity edge pool on each balcony overlooking a beautiful view of the ocean from the hilltop. The sliding door stacked so that you could open the room up and feel like you were outside yet had the most modern and comfortable accommodations. You could even see the monkeys playing in the trees nearby from the balcony. The owners took great care to pamper you and make sure you were well taken care of. They would help with any questions that you had and even help with booking your excursions etc. Roni, one of the owners, cooked amazing, healthy breakfasts each morning which were delivered straight to the room. I can’t say enough of this place except , how soon can I return? if you are looking for an amazing place to stay, you won’t be let down here!

The most amazing sunset view from a infinity edge pool in this area of Costa Rica. The drinks and food is good. In high season it gets very crowded but in low season it is very laid back almost like you have the entire place to yourself.

Beautiful place to stay with my teenage daughter. We had a great time in the infinity pool, taking surf lessons and zip lining!!

It’s one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever been to with the most beautiful view. You have a perfect view of the coast from an infinity pool with pool bar. Rooms were huge and so cozy. The owner as well as his team were just amazing and made us feel super welcome. It felt like we were spending time at a friend’s place, even though they were super professional about everything. There food was amazing, too. We’ll definitely come back.

Hotel in the middle of the forest. Hollow monkeys around the hotel, and other animals. Small pool and pool area, but nice. Helpful staff.

There were several breakfast options and the server (also the cook) was quite friendly. The location/grounds are beautiful, the restaurant/bar really lovely. The bartender was extremely friendly and accommodating. We didn't eat in the restaurant (just had a drink) but there were plenty of choices on the menu (which we did look at) and prices looked reasonable. The receptionist, Irene, was friendly and efficient. We didn't use the pool, but it looked very clean.

We felt very welcomed when we arrived at the finca. We stayed for one week and were upgraded to a superior room with a beautiful view for our stay. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff came every day. The sunrises were beautiful. Breakfast was great and the pool view was beautiful.

This was an unbelievably beautiful property! The dining area, pool side, and property are exceptional! The view from this hilltop location was great; it was breezy and pleasant even on a hot day. The staff were very kind and welcoming and the food is fabulous!! The included breakfast is wonderful and we had 2 delicious dinners as well. Great atmosphere!

The location was good as it was close to the beach and not far from the town. The views from the terrace and pool were amazing and proved a great vantage point for watching the birds and wildlife of the surrounding area. The staff were warm and welcoming; nothing was too much trouble. We felt relaxed and comfortable there and we're sad to leave. Thanks to everyone

The location is a bit outside of the center of Santa Teresa which allows a quiet and calm stay, with a short drive to the center (8min). The staff is very professional and kind.

Thank you for everything, the hospitality was beyond anything we could have imagined. Truly a piece of paradise. Lucy and the owners were incredibly kind and took care of everything for us. It was the perfect honeymoon experience!

Gorgeous scenery and rooms. We stayed in villa Eden, the family villa and it was great perfect we loved it. Cleaning lady came everyday and water was provided.

The main pool is perfect, large enough to even do some more real swimming (which we all know is not standard for hotels) and the second pool is a bit secluded l, perfect for relaxing. The breakfast is great. Also the location is 5min drive from the town, which is very convenient.

Everything. The room, setting, facilities - 2 pools! Had one of the pools to myself for a whole day, twice. Saw monkeys and birds (including humming birds!) right from my terrace. Hammocks everywhere. Breakfast is great. Had an issue with my room which was sorted in the nicest possible way. The yoga centre looks out over forest towards the ocean - an amazingly relaxing spot. Massages in the on-site facility are excellent. Originally booked for 3 nights but extended another 2. Would absolutely stay again.

The property itself was lovely with trees, plants. very peaceful. Nice pool and pool side. Nice breakfast with good selection. Our server Brandon was very sweet.

Our family absolutely loved our stay at Aves! Jo and Nina were so kind and helpful. The whole property was like a little paradise. The breakfast was some of the best food we’ve had in Costa Rica and the kitchen crew was excellent! The wifi worked great and the kitchenette in the room had everything we needed. The pool was amazing and the landscaping was immaculate! I loved hearing the howler monkeys in the morning from the hammock on the porch. The whole resort was spotless and very clean. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in Montezuma!

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Nya is located a short walk from Montezuma. The grounds are stunning with pathways through lush forest. There’s little nooks with hammocks, a yoga platform, and gorgeous pool. Sitting at the pool and watching monkeys, squirrels and tropical birds was amazing. We ate breakfast and one dinner in the restaurant. Breakfast was a great start to the day with the daily juice, varied menu and coffee. The bar had a great happy hour, with a fun bar tender who made delicious cocktails. I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Montezuma

The hotel has a wonderful location close to the beach and town. The property has a nice pool and is set in a beautiful jungle area, with wildlife at your doorstep such as monkeys, squirrels and agoutis. The room is nicely decorated and comes with a spacious private garden. The restaurant offers excellent breakfast, cocktails you can enjoy by the pool and dinner.

It is also close enough to walk to the Mal Pais tide pools and great restaurants. The pool was also a great place to relax! Overall, we had an outstanding experience!

The two bedroom suite was the perfect size for our family of five. The hotel staff was warm,friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and modern. The pool area and outdoor seating were lovely. The breakfast was fantastic. The location was perfect! It was a quick walk to the beach with many restaurants and shops close by.

What a wonderful hotel! My colleague and I traveled to Santa Teresa for work, and what a great surprise to find this little gem. It's a bit pricey, but I understand why. 2 seconds from the beach, beautiful facilities with a modern pool, and good breakfast. The manager, Warren, was so helpful and friendly. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

The place was rather pricey, but we were excited to see quite a spacious, modern and clean room that easily accommodated 3 people. Pool area was also clean and quiet.

While the property was on the outside of town there was a Super (convenience store with liquor, groceries and other convenience items) a short walk away. There were also a couple very good restaurants within walking distance that we visited more than once. Rocomar was right on the beach with so much seating and the best view you could ask for of the sunset and Nectar was fancy and expensive but had huge portions and the food was incredible. Breakfast at the resort had several options and was always delicious. Anabel, the manager was lovely and so helpful. She helped us organize a lovely excursion. We didn't get to see any, but we were told turtles come right up on the beach and nest. We got up early trying to see them nesting or hatching. It was exciting even though we didn't see any ourselves. beach was stunning, lots of shade, lots of chairs

We were so pleasantly surprised by this little oasis. My daughters (5,10) and I had a wonderful stay. We absolutely loved our accommodations and the direct access to the beach- no shoes needed to walk from villa to beach! Breakfast was simple and delicious. Hammocks near the beach and loungers on the beach made it very comfortable to hang out by the water. Incredible ocean views.

The location is great it’s close to some of the best restaurants around with lots of different cuisine options, the greenery all around the property and at the pool was really refreshing. Beds were comfortable, super close to the beach and free onsite parking. Also the included breakfast was delicious. Note that they don’t serve breakfast at the property, so you have to go to one of two restaurants nearby, I personally loved Banana Beach Club which is pretty much “next door” walking down the beach.

Dreamcatcher is a small hotel but very well located, with gentle and capable staff, our room was very spacious with two gigantic beds and a nice balcony. The garden is well maintained and could be "experienced" inside the room through the balcony. The pool and breakfast area were always clean and organized at any time of the day or night. The check in and check out processes were easy and fast, with the communication starting few days after the reservation through WhatsApp and emails. Actually, anytime we needed we could use WhatsApp to reach out for support.

This is a great place. It's private and quiet (apart from the monkeys and tropical birds, no complaints) despite being close to the main street. There are fewer than 10 units, so it was always calm and quiet inside and we usually had the pool to ourselves. The property is gorgeous and lush, the pool is great, the rooms are large, clean and comfortable, breakfast was great, and the staff are absolutely fantastic, very helpful and friendly.

Our house was right by the pool, with a nice view and very comfortable. The whole complex is very well located, nicely secluded and secure. The pool is nice, also suitable for a short swim.

Super friendly staff, the breakfast was amazing, the room was clean and comfortable with AC. It felt like a little oasis, a few meters from the beach and the main street, but still quiet and peaceful. The pool was the perfect reward after a long day at the beach. Would definitely come back.

Our host was really great - very helpful, communicative and a lot of good and honest advices on making tours and where to go e.g. surfing. The host speaks German, Dutch, Spanish and English well (maybe further languages), this made the conversation easy with all the guests. We felt welcome and had an awesome quiet time in Jodokus Inn and nice activities in Montezuma (the waves for surfing are nice at playa grande, better go for a bioluminescence kayak tour in Paquera) :) The sleeping room is equipped with a good mosquito net at the windows, a powerful fan and the bed was comfortable. There is a lot of really nice wood furnitures and floors and a nice view on the ocean in distance, which creates a special and relaxing atmosphere with the amazing garden and animals. We enjoyed the tasty breakfast with fresh pineapple or mango, cheese, eggs, yogurt, cornflakes, toast, coffee etc and the well equipped kitchen very much (all the ingredients are provided in your own big fridge and you can prepare your breakfast whenever you want). The garden of our host is amazing. We saw howler monkeys, white-faced capuchin monkeys eating bananas, an agouti, a coati eating ants and the rest of a pineapple, rare doves and different fruits like starfruit, oranges and grapefruits (we were allowed to pick and eat them). We’d like to prolong our stay at Jodokus Inn!

Property is a little bit far from the downtown but if you are looking for nature and peaceful stay - it is place for you. Owner is very helpful and compensates long distance with free ATV ride. He offered us free food from his beautiful garden. This place has amazing view to the Ocean. It has very well equipped kitchen with all utensils you need. You have to prepare breakfast for yourself but you get enough products for nutritious breakfast.

We loved everything about this place. Beautiful big lodge building on a a property with amazing view and gardens. All the amenities you need and heaps of breakfast supplies - making our own smoothies with fruit from the garden was ideal on a hot afternoon too. Host is super friendly and helpful!

An absolutely stunning house with gorgeous extensive grounds. You won’t find peace and quiet like this elsewhere in Montezuma, and we loved every second we spent here! We saw so much wildlife on the property and the owner, Ype, often pointed out birds and animals in the garden. It’s a couple of miles out of town, and not really walkable, but this is what makes it such a secluded spot - and Ype offers a lift on his quad bike every day, which is great fun in itself! There is also a great kitchen so you can enjoy cooking meals and eating them with a stunning view. Ype could not have made us feel more welcome and was always on hand if we needed him. Staying here is a real experience, and we would love to come again! His website has some great pictures of the location, too.

The villa is beautifull surrounded by a forest from one side and by a lovely garden from the other side You can eat with a view of the sea, read a book on comfortable chair or watch wild animal from the window of your room. Huge and rich breakfast. Only 5minutes from Montezuma. The host is full of good intentions to let you have a perfect moment. We definitely recommand !

Wonderful rustic room with our own deck overlooking the lawn and ocean. The staff were super helpful and the breakfast was amazing. There is a tide pool in the backyard that is like having your own private spa as the waves crash over into the pool. Restaurants walking distance both ways in this small village on the ocean. Easy walk up to the bottom of the falls where you can swim in clean spring water. Very nice beach just a few minutes up the shore where you can set up camp in the shade or sun. This is a very authentic hotel with scenery everywhere you look.

This is one of my best locations in Costa Rica! The hotel is a hidden gem, the view is amazing, the natural tide pool also very special. The room reminded me of a cabin in the woods, but with a jungle vibe. Very clean, safe and with an amazing terrace with ocean view. The garden with the hammocks is also very relaxing. The staff is super nice and very talkative. I loved everything!

Lovely garden with a private tide pool. Juices at breakfast were very tasty (try the one with passionfruit). Lots of assistance from Ammi (who spoke Swedish to our delight :) ) A 10 minute walk from the city center, bring a flashlight at night.

The location of this property is great. We loved the gardens and the tidal pool. Such a beautiful spot for a few relaxed days in Montezuma. Easy walking distance to restaurants and across the road from the base of the waterfall hike.

The beach in front to the bungalows is private and there was a security guard there the whole time keeping people moving on by. The staff did an amazing job with keeping the grounds clean and looking pretty. The room was spacious, modern and very clean! The food at the restaurant was good as well. 5 Stars all around! I hope to return again very soon.

Very Clean, Staff very Friendly and Professional. Pool beautiful and Bathroom Shower was amazing!!! Rainhead and the water pressure was great. Restaurant was good, not great, they seem to forget to put things on your tab and then reach out to you later with the errors. The staff was excellent, and very attentive. The food was presented beautifully, but it looked better than it taste. Its not bad, but not great. Had a great time and the Sunsets are amazing.

The hotel is extremely nice and well maintained. The service, at the restaurant for example, could be a little better but the food is delicious. The hotel is small and there is only one pool, although very large, and one restaurant/ bar area on the beach. This is a very quiet resort and they do not offer spa or yoga services but overall, I would stay there again.

Had an amazing experience for our honeymoon at Hotel Nantipa. Beautiful room and pool, very clean, and right on the beach. It's located right in the heart of Santa Teresa too so tons of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The concierge was also extremely helpful in booking activities.

We stayed here at the end of our trip to Costa Rica. It was exactly what we were looking for. The property was calm and tranquil with lush green grounds and right on the beach. The staff was very friendly and personable. Gorgeous pool and very comfortable suites. We loved the yoga classes and spa. Don’t miss the sunset at Manzu, make sure you book a table in the sand. We hope to return!

The servers at the restaurant did not look happy. The supply of dishes was not smooth. There were communication issues due to the language barrier. Making a restaurant reservation was difficult. It would be great if there were an easier way to make reservations. The room’s air conditioning did not seem adjustable. The water in the shower did not drain well.

It’s a bit out of the way but soooo worth it! This is a gem of a hotel and property with a beautiful sparsely used pacific beach, clean infinity pool, clean excellent rooms. The owner personally welcomed us at checkin and we saw her every time we were out for breakfast and dinner at the on-site restaurant. She checked to make sure all was going well with our stay. Pick this place for a perfect Costa Rica beach experience.

The resort was beautiful, we had a room with a balcony right on the beach. The view was unbelievable with the sound of the crushing waves as music to our ears. the staff was very helpful and kind, the room was very clean. the food in the swimming pool bar was very good and breakfast was also good. We did not play Gold on site nor used the SPA services, but both looked very god. It is located near Cobano, 30 minutes drive from Montezuma and 45 min from Santa Teresa. The only comment I have is that the road is a dirt road getting there from the main road.

We spent a wonderful four days at Tango Mar. Our villa was comfortable, service was good, advice very helpful, food options very good. The beach is gorgeous, and lying by the pool during the day and listening to the waves at night was incredibly relaxing. The property is not in walkable vicinity of shopping or other food options, so having a car was helpful. Various tours for parks and snorkeling were offered. We would definitely come here again.

This was an amazing property and the staff hardworking and friendly. We have travelled to Costa Rica several times and this is top of the list for us in terms of where to go when we go back. There was so much to do here, horseback riding, snorkeling, hiking, golf or just sit by the pool or on the beach and enjoy the sounds of the surf. The rooms are updated and clean and the property well maintained. We travelled during Covid and the staff was excellent with protocols and was able to arrange our required testing to return to the US. Loved it.

This place was the best place we stayed at over our 8 day trip to Costa Rica. The place was absolutely beautiful and the staff was very helpful. The pool and bar where great. with views of the beach no matter where you stayed. loved this place for a super chill relaxed beach vacation. There was no other options for food, bar or things to do unless you have a car and are willing to drive.

On the other hand, the property was difficult for us to find and the roads leading to the property were not yet paved; thus, a 4x4 would be highly recommended. I would stay at Villas Argan again without reservation.

The house we stayed in has beautiful woodwork and was spacious but also a bit treacherous with a stairway with no handrail and a step up part way into the living area. The beach is lovely and it was not touristy when we there (during heavy rainfall). Howler monkeys entertained us frequently. The maid did a very good job. Like many Costa Rican properties the road in was quite bad. The kitchen had few of what I consider essentials so cooking was challenging but not impossible. The shower pressure was less than satisfactory but the water was hot. We would stay there again but hope to find a better equipped kitchen and ample water pressure.

Everything you need is nearby. Most pristine beach, a little grocery store with so much to offer, we cooked most of our meals there and the kitchen had enough supplies to make our food. Gorgeous villa, we felt very spoiled! The gentleman/security guard was very nice. Staff answered all our questions, I had many lol! Will definitely return!

Paloma and Mati were very friendly and helpful (many activities and tours are available through them). Big social space, ideal to meet new people (pool, table tennis, swimming pool). Very good and healthy breakfast and coffee prepared daily.

The staff was super friendly and very helpful all the time! The place has amazing chill vibes, with nice common areas to relax, play pool or enjoy the pool! The room was comfy, and you can get a nice night sleep after 11pm. Thanks guys!

(Private room review) Has free parking for private rooms, it is a bit tight so bare in mind if you have a big car. Rooms are spacious, nice size. Has A/c. You can pay by credit card with no additional fees. Breakfast is simple but really good and helps you get through the morning: 1 pancake + fruit. Also they have a well organized kitchen where you can store your food and cook. They have ping pong and pool tables. The pool is a nice thing to have. Staff is awesome!!! Super helpful and kind: they help you with tours, rentals, questions, etc.

A nice pool and vibe. Easy to get to know different people with the spacious reception area in the middle of the hostel. Also easy to get tips and help from the staff. We liked the possibility the hostel had for table tennis and pool, even though it was a bit old and well used. The location was great, right by a laundry and a food store, and just a few minutes to walk down to the beach. In the night there were a guard at the gate. The kitchen worked pretty well with three fridges and two stoves for cooking.

Great stuff, organizing many fun activities. Breakfast was very good, pancakes with fruits and coffee. Location was near the beach and 10 minutes walk from the best bar. The room and the poolwere very clean, and kitchen is well equipped.

This place totally deliver beyond our expectations, a boutique hotel, with a very dedicate service. The rooms are pristine, and the service is outstanding and dedicated in every detail. Josue was the best host ever, and the rest of the staff made sure we were conformable at all times.The restaurant plates are mean to be an enjoyable moment to their guest too. Internet works fine, the room amazing. I just have complements for this place.

Beautiful place. There is only 4 villas total at this establishment. Josue the manager is outstanding with his impeccable service. He made us all feel welcomed and gave us all the in and outs. We saw monkeys at the villa in the trees and the beach view is breathtaking! We are sad to leave but will be back!

We did have one service issue, which I thought was pretty slow in being addressed, but it was resolved to our satisfaction. Overall we enjoyed our stay and found this to be a good value and good location. I would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Esencia! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The grounds and pool were beautiful, well kept and clean. The rooms are set back from the main road so it was very quiet and we enjoyed listening to and seeing birds and monkeys from our balcony! Great location as well-directly across the street from the main surf break and next door to an excellent restaurant, Somos.

There was also plenty of restaurants we could walk to as well as a small grocery store. The place is very beautiful, gardens very well taken care of, and the decoration is modern and very nice! We did yoga in one of the mornings and it was a really nice experience. We staying in one of the casas, so we had a kitchen to cook and a balcony to chill, but the property is very quiet and public areas very welcoming. There’s a little supermercado, restaurant/café & beach walking distance, that was very convenient as we didn’t had a car. We always felt supported by the helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Best kitchen from all our stays in Costa Rica: super clean and organized. The place is just outside the city center, what makes it the perfect lodge to relax. Compared to other hostels there’s no hard music, which we really liked because this means you can hear hawling monkeys (they live in a tree close by) or put on your own music or play a game from the game table. It’s a nice place to meet other travelers. The lodges also got a nice couch to relax, hot shower, clean and big rooms and an amazing yoga deck which you can use all day. We hope to come back one day!

The location is central. 5 minute walk to the beach. Easy access. The space is large and 2 bathrooms is a bonus! Huge closets. Nice little kitchen. Nice dishes and all itensils, but could have better pots and pans. Friendly staff all around from check in, housekeeping and night time security. Close to everything. The outdoor shower when you come back from the beach is amazing and so welcome. The little plunge cold pool on the terrace is fun and really useful. Loved this place.

Amazing location. Right across Banana Beach Resort, free access to the beach there. Super friendly staff! Very roomy and comfortable layout of the room and loft. We used the private plunge pool many times, more than expected. It gets hot in Santa Teresa! Very safe, there is a guard at the entrance at night. La Gilda in the complex has many food and beverage offerings from 7am til 10pm. Beautiful shops right there, not your cheap souvenir shops! Walking distance to all the great restaurants.

Great communication. Genesis was always available and friendly. Helped us with arranging a buggy and other recommendations. The cleaning ladies and maintenance guys were all very friendly people as all Ticas. There is security from early night till early morning. The loft is nicely build with the open platform. The cozy pool is a plus after a sunny day. Thank you all! Would stay there whenever we visit Santa Tere again. A cachete!

Beautiful property in a great location with everything you need. The plunge pool was perfect for cooling off in the afternoon. Staff were very helpful and accommodating.

The property is spacious and very private. It is an entire 1-bedroom loft townhouse! It was perfect for myself and my husband and our friend. We even had our own bathrooms! It would also be great for two couples. It is contemporary in style and well designed for a week stay. The outdoor space and (very cold) pool were a nice touch. The beach was just across the street and through a resort. There were shops, restaurants, and yoga studios all very close by. Overall, we were very impressed! We did have some trouble at check in because no one was in the office. The maintenance guy had to let us in, but he did not speak English. The lock on the slider was very sticky and we couldn't get it to lock. Then, the air-conditioning in our bedroom stopped working. We were able to get the maintenance guy back to work on the issues, but turns out, neither issue was actually fixed. We stayed for only two nights, otherwise we would have asked to be moved to a different apartment. Overall I highly recommend Peace Lofts. I will stay there again if I ever go back to Santa Teresa!

Natalia was the most helpful host I ran into in my 10 days in Costa Rica. She helped me plan my next stage of trip and saved me hours getting to my next destination. She even made sure we had a fruit bowl for an early breakfast as our driver got there before breakfast. So close to some of the best sandy beaches we have visited. Close to restaurants and market. Pool was nice too.

Wonderful bungalow stay, close to the beach overlooking a garden oasis. Nice pool. Amazing breakfast. Superb service, greeted by the owner herself. Beautiful design and high quality things. Lots of care put into details of this charming boutique oasis! Just amazing

Very nice and spacious lodges, in a beautiful tropical forest setting, refreshing swimming pool under a big mango tree. While we were swimming a howler monkey family visited us in the trees above. The breakfast is very good and will be served to your lodge at the time you indicate. Big bathroom and very spacious shower.

Alfredo and all other staff members were amazing hosts! Super helpful, kind and made us feel right at home in the beautiful small sustainable resort! We loved the pool and our bungalow, I enjoyed spending the early morning in our hammock. Great location for surfing, beaching and enjoying sunsets at the beach nearby!

So beautiful, very relaxing property Great breakfast included, great mini restaurant on premises. The cook, Marlena, was super, and I was impressed in the morning she called me by name (she remembered her guests first names) to ask my order.

We had such a great time in Montezuma & loved spending time at the beautiful pool. Our room was right beside the pool so we just had to step out our door & relax on a chair or hammock or jump in the pool. The hotel is right in the town so we could walk everywhere - to lunch/dinner/the beach/waterfall...one afternoon there was a bunch of noisy howler monkeys in the trees right above the pool- so cool! Great customer service too!

This is a small hotel with many different types of rooms layered up a hill. We stayed on the bottom level next to the pool with 2 double beds. Room is clean with frig and closet. We did not use the very small shower. We just rinsed at the pool shower. I wish we had one the the rooms with a balcony and hammock further up the hill. Coffee and tea provided at the office daily. Store is a very close (100 feet) if you need supplies. Had to park on the street.

Beautiful hotel and area. Saw many howler monkeys. Reception staff super helpful and kind. Location is central montezuma town. You can not get any closer. If you want the nightlife its perfect. Only tiny critique is that I felt the pool had way too much chlorine and we didn’t have any pool towels however I would highly recommend this place for the exceptional price.

Hotel El Jardín has a beautiful swimming pool area with lots of chairs and benches to sit on. The pool was clean and the surrounding area were well kept. The receptionist, Victor, was very friendly and gave lovely suggestions to eat and places to visit while staying in Montezuma. He was kind enough to upgrade my room as well. He made my stay pleasurable! I would recommend this hotel, however, do not expect anything fancy. It was a standard hotel.

The staff went out of their way to be friendly, accommodating and provide great service. They spoke English which definitely helped us and they arranged transportation for us. The room was comfortable, clean, a/c, refrigerator, and hot water. No TV. The pool was warm and extremely clean. Great location, beautiful grounds, easy walking to restaurants and the beach. Would return, great stay!

We really enjoyed the Tropico Latino. It is set up like a group of bungalows in a beachside tropical garden. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Twenty four hour security and an excellent restaurant and bar. The staff at the restaurant were super attentive, and the food was very good. The pool was very clean and refreshing and of course the beach was amazing. We would definitely stay there again and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for 5 nights and I can’t say enough good things about the hotel! We were in the beachside suite and it was incredible- well worth the money. Very clean, comfortable beds, beautiful pool. The rest of the hotel was also great. Really good yoga classes, good food and one of the most relaxing spas I’ve ever been to. Also, all the staff were wonderful and were very friendly with our kids. Front desk staff was incredibly helpful, just going above and beyond. If you’re going to Santa Teresa I would definitely recommend staying here!

We are family of 5 and spent four days at the Hotel Tropico Latino. The staff was very friendly and rooms were clean and pleasant. We had a room on the outside of the facility which did get some road noise (dirt bikes and four wheelers). Small relaxing pool area and great beach! We enjoyed watching (from our front porch hammocks) family of Howler monkeys make their way through the tree tops each evening! Located across the street from small market which was very convenient for snacks and drinks.

This is our 3rd time staying here in 3 years (this time with my dad and my wife's parents) and it never disappoints. It's the idea location between Carmen and Santa Teresa, has beautiful grounds, howler monkeys in the trees most mornings, THE friendliest staff, and amazing pool and beach views. Can't recommend this place more to anyone coming to Santa Teresa. Thanks again for the wonderful stay, we'll be back.

location location location. this is the quieter end of the beach. there’s a super cool bar called roco mar right on the beach and the amazing Nami sushi just down the road and cafe social on the corner for breakfast. the beach here has a little rip to get you out back surfing and it’s a less crowded in the water. the property itself is exceptionally clean and well maintained. it’s four bungalows. they are in perfect condition with your own balcony and a cool little communal area. it makes for a real social space. and the pool is really well maintained.

Really loved this place! Very clean, comfortable and very close walk to the beach. the property is gated in with a code so that’s also great. it is close to the main road so convenient to go places but there can be traffic noise. I’m from the city so that didn’t bother me. A/C worked great and good Wifi. plenty hot water and shower pressure. The pool was great. Very cute place and Rafa the property manager is also great makes it easy to check in and out. He also has great communication and can help you with ATV’s or anything you may want while there.

Amazing beautiful comfy room with AC. very big with great bathroom. lovely pool and kitchen area was so clean and modern. Very secure which as a solo traveller I loved. styling of the place is gorgeous. Check in was easy and so close to the beach. Close by is a cafe and a restaurant.

Super clean, comfortable, nice swimming pool, the kitchen is nice and fully equipped in case you want-need to prepare something. The access to the beach it´s super easy. In general, it was a great place to relax and enjoy the good vibes of this beach town!

The rcabins are large and really cute, great balcony. It was clean. it’s nice that they have a kitchen to prepare your breakfast. they also gave a large fridge where you can put your food. Small pool, for cooling down. A lot of restaurants near by.

I liked that the property was very accessible to the beach. It also had a exclusive environment where I could get away a little bit from the crowds. The staff at the surf school was exceptional! They helped me with every thing I needed and made me feel very comfortable being there. I would definitely recommend this place and would recommend it to anyone with a little sense of adventure.

Great location- easy walk to beach and restaurants/shops. Easy to rent boards and arrange transportation and excursions. It was nice to have a coffee maker and mini fridge in the room.

We took advantage of the partnership with Ylang Ylang's pool every day, which we loved because it was a built-in ten minute walk down the beach. Muchísimas gracias por todo!

The location was perfect, the rooms were exceptionally clean, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was delicious, lots of wildlife in the garden to see and the use of the pool at another resort was a lovely addition.

Very good location in the center of the village and two steps away from the beach, good bar/restaurant, great service, staff was very nice and helpful. The access to the Ylang Ylang pool is also greatly appreciated.

The location of the hotel is absolutely amazing. The supermarkt is literally next door & the beach is just a 1 minute walk. Besides we loved that we could use the pool of the sister hotel ‘Ylang Ylang’, really nice add on for your trip! Staff is also very sweet, highly recommend!

Great location,just around the corner from the town square, which steps down to the beach. Excellent food. We were able to use Yiang Yiangs pool. The manager Jairo was a gem of a human being and very accommodating.

Amazing spot, private and beautiful. Loved the outdoor kitchen. Beds were very comfortable. Pool was very nice. Restaurant was decent. Incredibly helpful at reception. Very friendly. The only thing we didn’t love was the very loud music they played on Wednesday and Saturday nights. As we have a toddler.

Luz the manager was helpful and efficient. Location is great, set back from the beach with a private pool and busy restaurant/ bar in front. Lovely surf beach. Had an excellent massage at spa with Rosita.

Great service, a great location and a reasonable price. I would definitely stay here again. Danielle and Emilya were extremely helpful. There are a lot of restaurants near-by if you don't want to eat at Banana Beach, the bank machine is within walking distance plus the pool and the beach are right there.

GREAT BEACHFRONT PROPERTY! Very nice and private bungalows with a comunal pool that has plenty of lounging areas around it. The beach bar/restaurant was a definite plus! We had a very good time and look forward to returning soon!

The owner and staff made this the most chill stay we had in CR. The rooms were clean and quiet. The pool was clean and very relaxed. The breakfast was superb. The walk to the beach is about 3 minutes. We extended our stay because it was the situation was perfect.

I think this hotel has a lot to offer: great location with free on-site parking included, good complementary breakfast, nice pool and well maintained grounds. The owner/caretaker is extremely nice and friendly. However, my stay was marred by internet connectivity issues, sewer stench in my room, and berries/nuts falling all night long on the metal roof preventing me from sleeping. I think I just got the worst room because all other guests seemed happy with their accommodations.
