We had a great stay at the hotel and all the staff was extremely friendly. There is a nice pool to soak away with hot coffee and a mini fridge with cold drinks next to the pool. If you dont speak Spanish that is no problem as the staff speaks good English. Best part there is no party or bar noise which is common in beach towns. We walked to the beach each day, walking around after dark is very safe and secure. You cant go wrong if you pick this hotel.

We had a great ten night stay at Tamarindo Bay Hotel. Marie and the staff were great and added a wonderful personal touch to every single day. The pool was nice and the seating area around the pool absolutely unbeatable. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a boutique feel for their vacation. If we return to Tamarindo, we will most likely stay at Tamarindo Bay again.

Everything is immaculate. Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff. Close to everything. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. Excellent breakfast with great coffee served on a serene rooftop terrace with a gentle breeze. Nice clean pool. Lots of comfy places to sit or lounge. Such a lovely oasis and very reasonable price.

We had a lovely time staying at this quaint spot. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were beautiful. The pool was always warm and the staff was friendly and always helpful. Being off the main road kept it peaceful and quiet and happens to be right around the corner from the best restaurants (which are also not on the main strip). Highly recommend if you are looking for a low key beautiful spot, close to everything.

This is a small, beautiful property for adults only. Marie and the other staff were concerned about providing everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and the best fun. If we were not going to be at the hotel for breakfast (served daily and included), we had something in our fridge the night before. There is filtered water and coffee always avaiable. Beautiful pool and deck. Rooms are comfortable and very clean.

Distance from the town center is nice as you aren't in the hustle and bustle all day. View from the balcony is great as it overlooks the trees/beach. Infinity pool and swim-up bar are very nice. Breakfast was good but not great, staff was very pleasant.

Great view! The infinity pool is a great spot to relax, and the wet bar makes nice drinks. Access to the Langosta Beach Club was a nice bonus and also great spot to spend some time. The shuttle into Tamarindo was very helpful, we used it several times a day.

Breakfast is very good. Bed very comfortable. Free hourly shuttle to Tamarindo or the beach club excellent. Once the infinity pool and swim up bar are reopened that will be a great asset!

Ocean view, infinity pool, good (but expensive) restaurant. Another plus is access to Langosta Beach Club.

Incredible first class attention from Arnoldo, all the staff and the chef. Rooms are spacious, new and clean, and the private pool is just excellent. The smaller size of the hotel allows you to receive an ad-personam treatment that it’s impossible to get even at the best hotel chains. Totally recommended!

Staff was super helpful for all of our needs and very friendly! Close to the beach but far enough from the main road that there’s not too much noise. It was quiet and comfortable. It’s a very quick walk to the beach BUT it is up a steep hill on the way back up, something we weren’t aware of but it wasn’t too bad once we got used to it! The pool was perfect for cooling down, small but got the job done! We are very happy with our stay.

The property is really nice, simple, yet modernly decorated. The beds are very confortable, the terrace and the pool really nice. Location wise, it is not the best, yet quite close to restaurants and the beach. Extremely good value for money.

It was very private, the loft was adjacent to two more, however it was very quiet and you have a sense of space that just makes you feel free. Very nicely designed, all amenities. We didn’t use the pool as we had other activities planned. The rooms were spacious as well as a he bathrooms and the property was very nicely clean. I’d definitely recommend and come back

Nasser was a very nice host, very helpful, and the apartment was comfortable, modern, the kitchen was very equipped, and there were Air-conditioning in every room. There is a little swimming pool that you share with other guests that is very pleasant.

This was a great place. The room was lovely, the bed was comfy and the shower is really powerful. The pool is great for a cool down and the trees next to the pool had a variety of colourful birds that would visit. I loved the breakfast here. I had the avocado toast with scrambled egg and it’s delicious. If we visit again and I would definitely stay here. It’s on a quiet street with parking, but only 5 minutes walk to the centre of Tamarindo. The beach is very close by also.

The staff here are amazing and go above and beyond to make your entire stay is perfect. It is a very friendly and welcoming property. Morning breakfast is delicious with numerous choices. The pool is perfect and you will usually have it to yourself. This property is very close walking distance to the beach as 2 of the best restaurants in town are neighboring properties. There is also a Saturday market a block away.

Amazing pool, clean and comfortable rooms. Good location - walking distance to beach and restaurants but in a quiet area. The staff (and particularly the owner) were superb and made us feel very welcome and gave great restaurants recommendations.

They thought of all the little details from having laundry service, all-day coffee, an ice machine and pool/beach towels available. Walking distance to the little city and close to the beautiful Conchal beach.

Comfortable surroundings and very friendly staff. The lounge/bar was on the second level overlooking the pool. The food at the restaurant was good. The pool was clean and water temp was fine.

This charming hotel had a great restaurant and beautiful pool. The staff was kind and welcoming. We loved that it was in the heart of Brasilito and we learned a little about the culture. Our stay was short but we would stay longer next time and enjoy relaxing by the pool and listening to the evening music.

Staff were friendly, pool and garden area was exactly as in photos. Relaxed by the pool for the day!

The homemade breakfasts provided by Laura MADE OUR STAY EXCEPTIONAL! The staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful but we really had a special connection with Laura! She was always so kind and her breakfasts were absolutely fantastic! We appreciated even the small things - the extra hooks in the room, the umbrellas and chairs to take to the beach, the fresh water outside shower, the foot pool! We adored the cat we called “Mr Mittens”. He was so friendly and lovable! The pool was cleaned daily and was a wonderful addition to cool off when you didn’t want to go to the beach.

First things first; the staff here are friendly, welcoming and always ready to assist - with a smile! They truly made me feel so welcome and they are all small rays of sunshine to brighten your day!! My room had everything I needed with a nice patio overlooking the pool - perfect for catching up on work. Internet was fast and had no issues the whole time I was there and breakfast is delicious and made at your leisure. The bed is comfy and the small beach area next to the pool is great for an afternoon snooze.

We loved the exceptional staff, pool, immaculate grounds, and convenience of the location- close to shops, all the must-experience restaurants, Saturday Market, and short walk to the beach. The set up of the hotel was impressive: secure parking, easy access reception area, rooms set around a lovely pool, cute seating area, and shaded breakfast tables. Our room was well appointed with lots of towels, A/C, a fridge and a safe. Beds and bedding were comfortable. The included breakfasts and service were fantastic! (Thanks Laura!)

Great location 5 minutes walk from the beach but tucked away on a side street away from the busier roads. We requested a vegan breakfast when we booked and Laura cooked different dishes for us every day. From traditional Costa Rican, vegan omelette to pancakes (which were the highlight). Our room was poolside. It had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. There was a white noise machine to use in case of any noise during the night time but we found it wasn't necessary and switched it off. Pool was perfect for a quick dip to cool off and to relax by.

Sandra went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and even helped me organize anything I needed. Amazing location 5 minute walk to the beach, comfortable beds, patio, cafe for breakfast and lunch, and a clean relaxing pool. This place is run very well. The owners are extremely nice and offer many benefits like one free coffee each day, free laundry service if you stay a week, Thursday complimentary happy hour with other guests, fairly priced tours, transportation, and a comfortable air conditioned coworking space if you need to get some work done.

Breakfasts were creative and delicious. Deluxe size room was very comfortable and clean. Bed was great. Pool was exceptionally large, well-maintained and very refreshing. Filtered water was always available. Staff was helpful in arranging tours. Premises felt secure. Towels for both the room and the beach were readily available. Thursday night get-togethers were fun and a very good idea (delicious appetizers, good way to meet fellow guests).

This was our favourite stay in our travels through Costa Rica. The entire property is gorgeous , rooms are modern and clean, comfortable bed, large shower, the pool was so nice to take a dip in, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. The staff here were very friendly as well. The location is perfect , just outside of the main area but still walking distance and only a 2 minute walk to the beach. We were also very close to playa Langosta which we rode scooters to and it only took about 5 minutes. This was the perfect end to our vacation!

We highly recommend this stunning establishment ,Boho Tamarindo! The owner, Laura, is very friendly and accommodating. She even drove us to the pickup point for our morning excursion and allowed us to checkout late. The chef prepared a delicious breakfast every morning, featuring fresh fruit, coffee, and a traditional breakfast. Our room was spotless and cozy, complete with a mini fridge, Costa Rican toiletries, and it was very peaceful. We enjoyed a pool front view, thanks to Kristen's room upgrade. We also met Lola, the friendly resident cat.

Exceptional ! Room was large and very clean with a nice little balcony overlooking the pool. Location was superb, we could walk into town within a few minutes. Staff were always friendly and attentive. Dinner was always different every day and good quality ! Bonus was as they are partners with the Diría hotel we were given a voucher and were able to have dinner at one of the partner restaurants! Hotel grounds are beautiful , very well maintained and the hotel was never too busy. The pool was also beautiful !

I loved how the hotel was set up. The restaurant and pool area were beautiful. It was also very nice that we had access to a part of the beach with a small pool, clean bathroom, bar and lounge chairs.

Beautiful gardens with easy access to the beach and a wonderful pool. I liked the feeling of space and not too overcrowded even though full. Always space around the pool. The food was excellent. I enjoyed the free wellbeing classes, including yoga.

We loved everything about our stay. The hotel is perfectly located with an amazing pool and private bar area on the beach. The staff were very friendly at reception, in the restaurant and especially Kevin at the beach bar. The breakfast and dinners we had were excellent. A definite must if you are in Tamarindo!

The outdoor bathroom was very romantic. The most beautiful beach Playa Grande was 5 mins by car. We also loved playa conchal in the morning 20.mins away. Lolas cafe was great too about 1 hour away. She gave us good advice. We saw monkeys play by the pool up on the trees which was magical. Loved it.

The location is absolutely perfect, offering breathtaking nature and a beautiful garden & pool area. The breakfast was very good with a variety of delicious options to start the day right. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the glamping tent. It was uniquely beautiful, providing a perfect blend of comfort and nature. Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and we highly recommend Flor y Bambu to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

The property was very stylish and well laid out. The beach access was also very nice with keyless entry with a code. I enjoyed the time there although we couldn't get the tv to work for the whole trip. We really enjoyed the refreshing pool and pool-side lounging areas. The restaurants around the hotel were very good and walkable.

Good accommodation but not a ‘villa’ and quite a dark apartment. Primary problem was development noise (hammering / drilling) next door stopped us sitting outside or using the pool. Also the gardener was using a leaf blower whilst we were at the pool - too much noise - we had to leave the pool - give him a broom !!

Great hotel with a really beautiful pool and private entrance to the beach. We booked this hotel as we were hoping to see turtles hatching or laying eggs. Andrea helped us with booking a tour and we saw both a baby turtle and a mother turtle digging in the sand so that was awesome! The staff is very kind, the hotelroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. The beach was beautiful, we loved how easy accessible it was. Best thing about this place is the pool though, we really loved it!!

It was such a cute place, cozy, and I liked the sitting area outside our room for my morning coffee. The pool area was very nice, and we enjoyed the foliage and trees, etc. It was great to stay in a more “local”area. The path to the beach was fun, and we appreciated the coded gate. The restaurant next door was wonderful as were the staff. The staff at El Manglar were exceptionally nice and helpful.

The pool within the hotel was extremely nice. The resort is absolutely pristine and we saw staff cleaning the floors and pool all day throughout the property. The only feedback I would give is on Friday morning there weren't many protein options other than the omelette station. Having some other proteins (sausage, ham, vegan protein) would have been nice!

Thus was THE BEST adult vacation we've been on in years. Tamarindo Beach is breathtaking! The hotel was fabulous. I was worried about the hotel not being all inclusive. However, breakfast and dinner included was just right. The chef prepared dinners were top notch. The staff went over and beyond to make our stay memorable. The grounds were like paradise. The private beachside cabanas, loungers, pool and pool bar were over the top! This resort owes us nothing! Can't wait to return with our family and friends!

This hotel was amazing! The staff are incredibly kind & helpful. Breakfast & dinners were included in the rate & absolutely delicious. Pools were amazing and loved having private access to the beach. The room was spacious & smelled so good. They also had daily wellness classes like yoga, sound healing, and breathwork. We also got an amazing massage at the spa. The tour desk is very helpful as well and set us up on some really fun excursions where transportation and lunch were included. Highly recommend this hotel. We had a great time!

Everything was excellent, impeccably clean, beautifully decorated with attention to detail! In the room you can find everything a traveller needs (even beach towels etc). The host was super friendly and helpful. The location is awesome as well - nearby the beach (3 minutes) and busy central parts with bars, restaurants etc, but also on a quiet side street, so you don't hear anything. There is a beautiful garden as well.

We enjoyed our stay at Tamarindo Sunshine. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean and had a nice balcony to sit in. Sol & Emmanuel were very considerate and though of the little things their guests would need during their stay (ex. beach towels and chairs, umbrellas, flashlight, coffee etc). Staff were kind and responsive to our messages. It was located in a good area, about 3 mins walking distance to the beach and a 5 min walk to Jardin Tamarindo food truck park and other restaurants. Please note there was construction near the area which may be noisy (it started around 6 am even on Weekends) and the path to the resident was very muddy. Also, suggest carrying bug spray as there were mosquitoes in and out of the room. Overall, it was a beautiful property and we had a great stay. Thank you!

We loved this place! it was very nicely decorated, super clean and comfortable and very close to the beach. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and very comfortable and there was also a shared outdoor kitchen for guests. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. This was one of our favourite stays in Costa Rica!

Great place to wind down. Fully equipped kitchen, even came with common spices free to use. The location is amazing, only a short walk from the shore. Very close to the center of town, far enough to be quiet while still feeling safe. Has outdoor shower, place to dry your clothes, beach chairs, boogie boards and parking secluded from the main road (not private though)

I recently stayed at the Capitán Suizo Beachfront Boutique Hotel in Tamarindo. The hotel staff were outstanding throughout my stay, from the front desk to the restaurant and other areas of the property. The on-site restaurant served delicious food, and there were always chairs available by the pool and the beach. The hotel is located on the quieter end of Tamarindo beach, which was a nice change of pace.

We liked everything. 😀 The hotel grounds were beautiful, the room, with a sitting area, was great. The restaurant was so good that we decided to eat both our lunch and dinner there each day. The pool was beautiful and kept clean of flowers by the staff all throughout the day. And best of all, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely recommend this place to others!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Capitan Suizo! It met and exceeded out expectations. We had upstairs rooms with balconies- that were beautifully designed and a pleasure to come back to. The service was so friendly and every one made our stay a pleasure. The grounds, the pool and the location on the beach were perfect. I would have disliked staying in Tamarindo town as it is quite touresty and loud but we were far enough away to feel apart from it. The restaurant served a great menu and we enjoyed eating there most nights.

The staff where exceptional - nothing was a problem and they where always happy and upbeat. Being beachfront was perfect for us and the pool was beautiful to swim in. On the last day they presented our son with a birthday cake at breakfast. We didn’t warn them it was his birthday, they must have noted it from his passport. It was a really special personalised thing to do, and took us very much by surprise! A huge thank you to the staff for making our stay extra special.

We absolutely loved our stay at Diría Tamarindo. The location is perfect and easily in the best part of Tamarindo. Our room was massive! It did come with a smaller balcony than most other room but definitely worth it as we spent most of our time at the pool anyway. The pools are excellent and not too busy and we really enjoyed sipping sangri while cooling off in the pool The staff were fantastic. We had forgotten to request a cot for our 9 month old but they had one brought to us in less than 1 hour of checking in. The breakfast was gorgeous, almost too good!

We were in the adult pool area which served breakfast in the am and bar opened in PM. The security team was friendly and helpful. Everything was close by and there were great restaurants options and all could be charged to the room. There were plenty of lounges by the ocean and around the pools. We went fishing one day and brought our catch back and the chef prepared the fish 3 ways for us. It was an amazing dinner. I had a facial and foot message special that was very good.

Our room was across from the main hotel, had a good size terrace right by the main pool. We spent most of our time at the beach and the pool next to the beach. You can walk the beach and the town is right there. Many restaurants , shops and you can walk right up from the beach , grab a drink or meal with your bare feet!!!!

The Diriá owns all the restaurants up and down the main street so access to outstanding food is easy. The property is truly beautiful with many pools, full breakfast buffet, waterfront and poolside bars. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Keep in mind half of the property is across the street but this doesn’t matter at all as security stops traffic every time you want to cross the street.

Stunning locations, breakfast with the ocean view, direct access to the beach. Good choice of pools. Pools are of good size. We loved everything there. If there is anything to wish for I would ask for live music to enjoy along with the ocean breeze, a cocktail and cooling evening air.

The hotel is not actually in Tamarindo, it's in Villarreal, which is very close to Tamarindo. It has a gate, so your car and valuables will be safe. Each room has AC and hot water. Bed was comfortable and clean. There's also a swimming pool which was cleaned every day and a cooking area for guests. The owner was friendly and sent us lots of suggestions on Whatsapp. Good value for money since everything else was fully booked for the BPM festival. Close to supermarket and restaurants.

Generally quiet, even next to the highway. We were greeted by the owner's two teenage sons. Clearly managers in training. The kitchen beside the pool was well equipped for our breakfast of cold cereal. There is a hot plate and BBQ which we did not try out. Both beds were pushed against the walls. We were able to move the double bed away from the wall and use the side chair so both sides of the bed could have a bedside table of sorts. Towels are thick, soft.and absorbant. Shower is slow to heat but then warm.

Very friendly and welcoming family. Clean room and very confortable. All the needed is there. Beautiful pool and outdoor kitchen with a pergola.

The Coast Beachfront Resort did not disappoint!! We stayed here with a group of 18 with 8 rooms. You are literally steps from the sand. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The morning breakfast was perfect. Every room had great views of the beach or pool. Walkable restaurants and bars along the beach and also short walk to everything in town. The hotel even supplies a gas grill which we used 2 nights of our stay. A big shout out to the staff who were very welcoming and accommodating. Hoping to get back for another stay!! Pura Vita😊

Loved everything about this adorable hotel. Super clean, VERY helpful and made us feel welcomed right away. Literally the beach is right outside of the property, the pool is so clean, they have surfboards body boards and sand boys for the beach for the kids if needed. They provide you a great simple delicious breakfast, love that it was served to us every morning. And the STAFF house keeps to the security guards were so friendly. All around great vibes, walking distance to everything. I would recommend anyone to stay here if your looking for a beach front location. OneLove. Pura Vida !

We had an amazing stay at The Coast Beachfront Hotel! The location is unbeatable—right on the beach with surfable waves just steps away. They offer surfboard and boogie board rentals, making it super convenient to catch some waves. The hotel is a short, easy walk to the town center, so everything is close by, yet the area remains peaceful and safe. The rooms were spotless, the pool was inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The light breakfast delivered to our room each morning was a delightful touch. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy Tamarindo!

We spent a wonderful week at Best Western in Costa Rica with friends. The ocean-view pool was amazing, and the breakfast was always tasty. The staff were super friendly — a special thanks to Itzel, who was always smiling and happy to help! The beach is very close, and we learned to surf there. We could even borrow surfboards from the hotel for free, which was a big plus. We also enjoyed a fun pool party over the weekend. For the price, this hotel is a great deal. We were very satisfied and highly recommend it!

Everything about my stay was wonderful! From pre-arriving, to helping me book transportation to from the airport, to check-in, this stay really enhanced my trip. The breakfast is incredible! The coffee is amazing. Freddie our breakfast server was delightful. Justin at the front desk is super helpful and his positive energy is continuous. Thanks for the tips on the coffee and attention to detail through every interaction. I wish i was staying here longer but will definitely spread the word. I loved the pool! And rooms are super clean and met all my needs.

The host and owner was onsite daily and offered many great suggestions for dining out. Staff was attentive and friendly. Bungalow was clean and well maintained, with very comfortable bed. Breakfast options were all delicious. Pool and seating areas were great. Highly recommend!!

We think a cooked to order breakfast is a great way to start the day! Then ten minutes to the beach until lunchtime and the day’s heat sent us back to the hotel pool to cool off and read with a cold beverage. Easy walk downtown for dinner and a comfy cool bed to return to. Henry is a great host and he thoughtfully prepared a boxed breakfast when we mentioned we’d be leaving one morning for a 4:30 am tour. Above and beyond helpful!

A quiet oasis of calm in bustling Tamarindo. We were greeted by howler monkeys on arrival and a large iguana. The breakfast/bar/pool area was lovely with many sunbeds and loungers. Breakfast was excellent and served with a dazzling smile by our waiter. We were in a king suite one night and a queen bungalow for two more. The upstairs rooms don't have a balcony, downstairs have own seats by pool, so go for a downstairs room if you can. Loads of towels provided. Free coffee.

The building is U shaped with the rooms overlooking the beautiful pool in the center. The room had great AC and was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly even offering to let us borrow beach chairs if needed. Breakfast each morning by the pool was fantastic. Located in the center of town made it easy to walk to restaurants, the beach or shopping. Glad I chose it!

Great location. 3 min walk down to the beach and walkable to all major restaurants and bars. It was nice being able to cool off in the pool after a full day at the beach. There is a grocery store that is literally across the street so if you need anything you can walk over grab some food or even some beers for when you are lounging around the pool. Small quaint hotel where you will be able to meet lots of people from all over the world.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Pool area is lovely. Room was clean with a nice poolside balcony. Highly recommended.

Wonderful stay! Clean, spacious rooms, with private deck, sitting area/hammock, and breakfast included every morning! Josue and the rest of the staff were so welcoming, helpful and accommodating! As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe, secure and cared for. The location was perfect, a peaceful walk, crosses a bridge through the mangroves to a gorgeous beach. When our house we rented through VRBO ended up being a dump, the friendly folks at Cabinas Las Olas were able to get us a couple of their rooms. The staff were all so nice and helpful. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. The rooms were comfortable and the AC was nice to have. I know they like to think of their hotel as a great mix of comfort with nature, which it is, but I do think having some kind of weather stripping along the bottom of the doors in the rooms would keep some of the nature outside where it belongs. :) I was unpleasantly surprised by a scorpion one morning that had crawled under the door... Yikes! I'm not used to those things and it took some courage to get it out the door! The property itself though is really cool. There are iguanas everywhere in all different sizes and lots of howler monkeys. This was the only place we actually saw them (and heard them ☺) up close. This is also the best spot to get to the beach. You walk down a bit of a sketchy and smelly mangrove boardwalk but its worth it because the beach is amazing. Its considered a surfing beach but lots of folks swimming there as well. All in all, Cabanis Las Olas was a great part of our trip and I'm so happy we stayed there.

Everything was so amazing from the time we arrived to the time we checked out. You are definitely fully immersed into the wildlife and rainforest-type environment. We had monkeys just outside our door in the trees and iguana friends all around as well. Breakfast has locally grown, fresh food everyday with your choice of another side and beverage. Even for the meals that were not included, they were so delicious and well prepared. They won't serve something they are not proud of, and that speaks volumes. I would recommend the fish tacos! The boardwalk takes you down to the beach, where Lola's is only a 10 minute walk. Access to surfing and water activities is available there. When we were challenged with the task of finding rides to and from farther places for activities we were participating in, they were helpful in arranging ride service. Since we were there for a family wedding, a lot of the details of our stay towards the final days was in the air. Las Olas was understanding and helped by being flexible and accommodating.

I probably would not have considered this place if it was marked correctly on the map, but I'im glad I stayed here. That being said, everything else about this place is great! Nice modern kitchen and outdoor grill. Everything was newly renovated and very clean. AC was nice and cold. My only gripe was that the shower sloped away from the drain resulting in a persistent puddle that gets kind of gross.

The Westin is a nice resort. The rooms were a bit weathered though. The food was good not great. They do try to keep the place clean. The pools. We stayed in the adult pool. Less crowded. Had a bar and restaurant right there. Plus we could easily access the Westin club lounge. The lounge is a nice break from everything else as it is enclosed and had AC. You also got top end liquor and upgraded snacks The beach was nice but you had to get through excursion hawks etc to enjoy it. The view on the beach is nice as it’s dotted with small islands.

Excellent experience from check in to leaving. Room was large and clean. Resort was beautiful. Beach was incredible. Everyone was courteous, helpful and fun. Special shoutout to Pablo our concierge who helped with anything and everything and was wonderful also Christopher at the club swim up bar who was so fun, Rudy at the Imperial Bar made incredible cocktails. The servers at the club pool, the massage therapists and the head of personal training who led our morning beach yoga were incredible. Highly recommend

This place is absolutely amazing! It is a very small boutique hotel, and has a private gate that takes you down to the beach. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The pool was kept up beautifully. The food was excellent and the beach is unbelievable! At any given time, I don't think there were more than a dozen people on the beach with us. I cannot recommend enough! If you're thinking of going to Tamarindo, skip it and book here or at their sister Hotel. Playa Grande beats Tamarindo in every way. And this is a great place to stay if you're in Playa Grande.

A small boutique hotel with lovely gardens and pool. The room was spacious with large bathroom and a kitchen area. The bed was very comfortable. There is a nice open balcony restaurant at the property. Breakfast was an additional fee with my booking. About a 5 minute walk to the beach. Will definitely plan to stay here again.

We love this little hotel, and especially the staff that work at reception and at the bar/restaurant. Thanks to Mario, Luis and Yorga the vibe is friendly and welcoming - truy like coming home - and the area is tranquil. The location is perfect for us (close to beach/surfing). Cantaranna's sister(brother;o) hotel is the Manglar, which is steps away, with more rooms and a bigger pool. We prefer the Cantarana as it is quieter, but the Manglar is a lovely hotel as well.

Beautiful small resort with dense jungle paths and lovely pool. Serene and very eco-friendly. Food was amazing and made from scratch with organic, plant-forward ingredients and fresh fish. Vegan options. Staff was great. Our king room was huge with double rain head showers. Beach is a very short walk past the pool, but small with rocks. Can easily walk to better beaches though. $5 ride into Tamarindo or walkable. If you want to be away from the busyness of Tamarindo, like we did, it's a great option. Already miss the food and the monkeys! Best green salad ever!

We had a wonderful stay. There was an issue with an air-conditioning unit which was fixed quickly and efficiently. The villa's private pools were lovely. The hotel pool kept us entertained with the monkeys in the trees above our heads. Great buffet breakfast included which set us up for the day.

Beautiful boutique hotel, we loved everything about this place! The pool was perfect for our kids ages 5 & 7, it has a very large shallow area. The bar and both restaurants serve fantastic fresh and creative dishes. The little walk down to the beach was wonderful, the cocktail bar set up for sunset on the beach was wonderful! Most importantly the staff are super friendly and helpful :)

This place is amazing! Our second time here and we got a villa this time. Totally worth it! The villa is spacious, clean and a private pool was so amazing to have. Cala Luna feels safe as we traveled with our 3 kids. 2 teens and 6 year old. We are already planning our next trip back. We had Jose as our tour guide to Rio Celest and he knows everything about everything in the rainforest and about Costa Rica.

The inside is decorated nicely , beds were comfy and clean and the kitchen was well provided ,soft towels and nice pillows. fans worked well so only had AC on when we slept .great WiFi , TV and channel selection is great , location is fantastic as we walked to stores , restaurants , beach , we loved the pool as it is cool.and the staff were so nice and friendly as were the people we met . Had the early morning screeching monkeys to entertain too . We cooked a lot and provisions were easy to.come by , fruit smoothies and a bit of the regions finest .

The location of Blue Apartments was great. It was a short walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The pool was I really nice bonus at the end of the day after spending your time at the beach. Security was great. We were able to check in early and apartment was clean, comfortable and adorable.

Best breakfast we had in Costa Rica. Cooked fresh, and everything we tried off menu was fantastic. Also saw monkeys within pool area.

The pool and gardens were well maintained and beautiful. Our room was cleaned daily and the shower was great, plenty of hot water and great pressure. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. The restaurant breakfast was great! An added plus was the wildlife we observed at different timed in the trees around the pool: exotic birds, iguanas, and one day a family of howler monkeys!!

The grounds was beautiful. More mosquitoes than other properties we stayed, even in the rainforest area - though that is the price you pay for all the greenery around you. Pool was nice and warm, though trees above drop things into the pool so it is hit or miss whether clean or not. Wi-Fi did not work in our room. That all said, the room was nice, location was good, and overall we enjoyed it.

So much to like about this property. Great in town location but not noisy. Jungle-like around the pool, could have hung at the pool all day and night. Responsive staff.

The rooms are huge, comfortable and clean. The pool area is fantastic. Also, the breakfast is really really good, tasty food with a lot of choices. The staff is super nice and professional and the location is perfect , just some minutes from the beach by walk. We really enjoyed our time here and we recommend to anyone who is visiting Tamarindo.

It is an oasis in a busy area like Tamarindo, very calm and cosy. The breakfast and all the food in the restaurant are impressive, fresh, well-cooked and healthy, beautifully served. Nice swimming pool, but sometimes there are no available sun beds. The room was well equipped, spacious, stylish, and clean. A cleaning lady pleased our little one and us as well with funny creatures made of towels after tidying up the room

One of the most gorgeous hotels we’ve ever stayed in, staff went above and beyond to make out stay perfect in every way, complimentary cocktails on the beach for the beautiful sunsets every night were the icing on the cake. Lovely (warm) pool with howler monkeys and beautiful birds all around. Delicious breakfast. Only a short taxi ride into the centre but nice to come back to the calm! Loved every minute!

I was concerned when I first realized that the hotel is located on a bustling street in Tamarindo. But when I got into my room that concern went away. The buildings are set back from the road quite a way, and have air conditioning. I am noise sensitive and was not bothered at all. Staff was friendly, the room was clean, the shower had hot water, the wifi and A/C worked perfectly. I did not use the pool, but the pool and its area looked clean and pleasant. Bonus- great coffee and pastries at the shop "next door" which is virtually on-site.

Hotel Flores was an amazing stay! The pool area was absolutely beautiful and there was never anyone there. There were even a family of monkeys right next to the pool one day. Walter was the on site worker during our entire stay and he was PHENOMENAL! He was so friendly and kept the place in impeccable shape. He made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. We will definitely come back to Hotel Flores for our next stay in Tamarindo. Pura Vida!

Nice little hotel within 10 minute walk to the beach in Tamarindo. It was off the main road so it was for the most part pretty quiet. Hotel staff was helpful and provided anything we needed. Breakfast was made to order and very tasty but not real big portions so don't expect a big breakfast. The pool was small but was nice for a relaxing dip in the morning before heading off to the beach. The room was clean and had everything we needed.

The property was amazing!! Very secluded, but right in the middle of everything. Amazing coffee shop onsite. Wifi, pool. And Walter was amazing, cleaned the room whenever we asked & did an amazing job & was very friendly.

The check in was quick then taken to my rooms they were very spacious see attached pictures the bed was very comfortable the walk-in wardrobe was spacious plenty of shelves and hanging space the bathroom was fine plenty of room I’m a big person the pool area has chairs and loungers he hotel is central for town good restaurants and bars but not noisy I left there totally relaxed and rested I will be going back

The pool is lovely and a delicious breakfast was served every morning poolside. With only 11 rooms we got to know other guests and chatted with the owners often. The owners made us feel like guests in their home rather than a hotel. It was such a nice stay!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Tamarindo Village! The staff was friendly, helpful, and informative. The room was clean and spacious and the free breakfast was fresh and delicious. We really enjoyed the grounds, pool, and the sweet kitty Rosie. I would suggest better bath and beach towels - that would go a long way. Also note that it there a steep dirt road to the property. Bring some good shoes and be prepared to huff a bit. Nonetheless, I would stay again and highly recommend!

Its a beautiful family run boutique hotel. We took the ocean view and private cooling pool room and it was wonderful. Clean rooms, comfy bed and amazing outdoor shower area. Breakfast has limited options, but is homemade and tasty. Steve and Clara are very friendly and have excellent tips for going around Tamarindo. It is around 15mins walk from ground zero. Will definitely stay again on our next trip.

Never seen queue on bathrooms and toilets and they were always clean. Bed was so comfortable with new mattresses. Common area have everything that you need big terrace with table tennis, billiard, swimming pool which is always clean. Cool place with lovely staff, definitely come back and highly recommend.

My stay at this hostel was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly and always ready to help. It's conveniently located close to the beach, which I loved. There was a shared kitchen, and there were various clean toilets. But my absolute favorite was the swimming pool area surrounded by nature. It's the perfect place to relax. I can't recommend this place enough.

It was the perfect location, so close to the beach and town center, but such a lovely reprieve from the bustle and loud bars in town. The vibe is very chill, staff and guests were all super nice. It was so nice to have a place (with a pool) to hang out during the day when taking a break from beach and adventures.

This was our second time staying here and we have been very impressed. It’s a small quaint chic botique hotel; very clean, friendly and helpful staff! Their staff handled all of our dinner reservations and activity reservations. There is a nice romantic pool and amazing Peruvian restaurant attached. Will definitely stay here again.

We signed up to a 3-week membership for the co-working space and it was one of the best decisions we've made on the holiday. We worked there from 9am-5pm on the week days. They have the best Wi-Fi in Tamarindo, there was plenty of space, the staff and owner (Patrick) are so friendly and welcoming, and they've created a great little community of like-minded individuals who are interested in working hard and travelling. The space often attracts digital nomads, like ourselves. They also have excellent and reasonably priced food/drinks, and an indoor and outdoor space to work. The place is very clean and it's a beautiful setting to work from. When sitting outside, you look onto their newly built infinity pool and sun loungers. During our time at In The Shade, we've met some great people who we ended up hanging out with at the weekends. We'd really recommend this place for anyone coming to Tamarindo and working remotely! Although we were staying at an Airbnb nearby, we met some people who were staying at the hotel and were very happy with their stay too.

Great location within short walking distance of restaurants, grocery store and beach is not much further. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Free coffee in the mornings to enjoy on your balcony or beside the pool is a nice touch. Not a lot of shade mid day to be able to lounge around the pool but perfect time to take a siesta or go exploring.

Our stay here was great, well advertised to what it is. Staff is helpful and kind. Good food and smoothies available at price. Pool was enjoyable and clean. About 5 minute walk to the beach. There is a restaurant beside the hotel so there is a dull sound of music in the evenings. I am a light sleeper and did not find this a problem. Bed is firm but was not a problem either. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it. The hotel also had good wifi, so my husband could do some work and also stream movies and sports games.

There’s a vibe that captures you and makes you want to stay. Draws a certain kind of traveler…chill, friendly folk. Digital Nomad’s paradise with a great place, next to the pool, to set up office. Surfer beach- access to beach was perfect! Small warm pools- super helpful and kind staff- restaurant on site is ok- parking- they rent beach chairs and boogie boards- cute shop items- and close to some amazing restaurants!! Would stay here again. Unfortunately we had a bathroom with a leaking toilet- EW! At night we heard plumbing pipes ever time anyone in the building flushed their toilets.

The RipJack Inn was exactly what we needed. I was traveling alone with 2 teens and we stayed in one of the suites and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The close proximity to the beach, the pool just steps from our suite’s door, the excellent food at the restaurant, the cleanliness and comfort of our room with ceiling fans & beds that slept well made it a perfect stay. Not to mention the friendly staff and activity booked for atv rides was above and beyond what we’d hope for in terms of fun and adventure.. it was the perfect escape. We’ll definitely be back. Great boutique hotel! I’ve stayed at this hotel on two different trips. It is perfectly located a short walk to the beach. Rooms are clean and cozy, although it is loud b/c you’re close together on a small property and it is especially loud if you are below the restaurant. They’ve added new units, which are really nice. Pools & grounds are lovely & clean. Best part is delicious restaurant for smoothies in AM & yummy dinners w live entertainment.

We really enjoyed our stay at the RipJack. The location was perfect- very close to the beach! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was good and reasonably priced. The room was spacious but the mattress was a bit uncomfortable. The 2 pools were great for our daughter and as an alternative to the beach.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We travel a lot and it was probably one of our favourite experiences at a resort in a long time. From the beautiful, lush grounds with so many animals and birds, to the amazing food and cocktails, to the incredible staff (especially Guillermo who was our favourite at the adult pool bar as well as Carlos the bartender in the Living room, and Bernice at Zona Azul). We loved the more relaxed vibe here. The infinity pool at the beach bar Zona Azul was stunning. Just off the beach with trees, plants and flowers all around. There was a great little gym with good equipment. It was handy having a shuttle that you pay to head into Tamarindo. We would definitely return again.

We loved our stay at the W Costa Rica. My kids loved the buffet , especially in the mornjng. The food was great. The pools were also great although the kids/family pool is far away compared to the adult pool. We also liked the different restaurants available and the concierge to book excursions was very good. The area itself doesn’t have much and the beach while nice to be close wasn’t amazing. All that said , the kids loved it and that itself was enough. Also the service we received was fantastic!!

The service in the hotel is incredible, all the staff are very helpful,attentive, and nice. The beach is stunning. The food and drinks are amazing. Highly recommend the steak at the mitra market and the seafood restaurant .The rooms are spacious and the beds are SO comfy. Room service/anything in the minibar is complimentary with the adults only package. Any excursions can be booked right by the entrance to the beach. The adults only pool is beautiful and relaxing.

The staff was super friendly. After a couple of days, most remembered our names and preferences, whether it was in the many restaurants, at the bar, at the pool or on the beach. The Reserva Conchal is a real natural gem and the resort is perfectly located on the beach. We loved all the restaurants and the kids fell in live with the Mitra Market (self service with multiple booths).

The food was delicious and we were in the building with an adults-only pool right outside of it which was comfortable temperature and relaxing. Everything was beautiful and all the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Costa Rica is beautiful... and being in such a relaxing resort just made it better! The wifi wasn't great. It mostly worked. But the pool, room, location...spot on.

Great property and location. A very short walk to the beach. The owner is great and can share lots of ideas about what to do and where to eat. The pool and onsite restaurant are nice. The bungalow is cute and spacious with a bathroom and bed below, two beds in the loft and a kitchenette with table. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We even saw howler monkeys on our walk to the beach.

Thank you for our 3 night stay and the cosy surroundings. Even though Tamarindo is a busy beach town it was always quiet and serene at the hotel. Thank you especially for recommending to our shuttle driver to stop at Mia Finca restaurant on the drive back to the airport. The scarlet macaws were right there in the trees. We saw and heard howler monkeys right outside the front of the hotel. Would definitely recommend for those enjoyed like a quiet pool and surroundings but still can walk everywhere

The breakfast is simple but good. eggs, pineapple or yogurt with granola. They also offered orange juice or coffee. The room was clean and the ac worked. It was quiet at night.

Small pool and communal space were a nice addition. Huge thanks to the very friendly lady that runs the place who let us leave our luggage in a safe place and shower after we checked out. We felt welcome here and didn't want to leave!

The breakfast was delicious! Fresh fruit, toast, and coffee was prepared every morning. Simena was very helpful! She helped us find a surfing lesson for us, provided restaurant recommendations, and created a happy environment. The bed and breakfast is clean, rustic, and walking distance to Brasilito and Playa Conchal. You can use the kitchen area as well to cook meals. The dogs are also super cute.

We loved the convenient location, and everyone there could not have been nicer. Breakfast was delicious, and we so appreciate that they went out of their way to also make a breakfast for our 8 month old. The room was clean and quiet too! The hotel provided a tent and wagon for us to take what we needed down to the beach, and we had an absolute blast.

The location was perfect-just a few blocks from the beach and coffee shop, right next door to a supermarket, and a fabulous restaurant on the other side! Breakfast was delicious and right on time every day!

The location is great and the room was super clean and comfy. It was the best night in our 2 weeks in Costa Rica. The manager is a sweetheart and want you to have the nicest stay. New beds, beach towels, fridge, breakfast, near the beach and corner store... everything is there. I had the chance to chat with the owners about their story and they are really good people ! Next time I’ll stay longer for sure !

My stay at Drift Away was fantastic! Lagaritos beach is about a 200m walk through the countryside to a gorgeous and at times completely empty beach. It was breathtaking and convenient. Paul and Lisa, the managers, as well as the rest of the staff were incredibly helpful to me and other guests. I wanted to learn how to surf. They arranged surf lessons for me at a surf school on Avellanas beach and had a surfboard for me to borrow -- both for free. They also had great advice on restaurants, shops, etc. in the area. The facilities were fantastic and clean. I loved the beautiful pool and landscaping. The covered breakfast and game area was also a great place to hang out at night. They also have a screened building with furniture, games, books and yoga mats. I used that area frequently to read at night. I used it a few times during the day to stretch before surfing and to meditate. I highly recommend Drift Away and hope to return soon.

If you want to be in a somewhat remote area this is the place. Our last night on vacation we spent in Liberia & it made us appreciate Drift Away’s quite!

The property is well maintained and the staff is amazing but one policy was not service friendly. Pool towels are only available at the front desk by trading a ticket with them as a deposit. If you are staying by, or just using the pools away from the front desk, it is very inconvenient and unnecessary. Make the trade for pool towels available at the pools. Both pools have employees there anyway!

Overall the stay was great, the hotel is nice, rooms were comfy and clean with good facilities (safe, nice bathroom, fridge, good beds). The pool and pool area was lovely to relax in (especially the adult only pool). Breakfast was really great. The hotel is well located, with direct access to the beach and walkable to everything else. Do be aware though this hotel is popular with Americans who seem to spend a lot of time shouting and screaming at each other across the pool areas and beach

Amazing beach and beach access, literally the pool and lobby are on the coast. One night we stayed in the back and have nice views to the pool and the next 2 nights we got ocean view rooms which were amazing. The restaurant is by the water so always have proximity to the coast line. The staff is very friendly.

Great location right on the beach. Our room was not facing the beach and did not have a balcony, but we were only there to sleep as there is so much to do in the area. Resort is beautiful and well kept. Rooms were bit dated but cleaned as soon as you put the sign up to clean. Breakfast was included and had a huge selection. Pools were nice- had to cross the street to use the family pool but that was not a big deal. Felt very safe and had lots of privacy on the resort.

Our room was small and across the road from the restaurant and beach but traffic was light with a crossing guard most times. Right in town. Great restaurant and breakfast next to beach. Adult pool had no see em bugs so we got bitten. Large pool beautiful with swim up bar.

When we arrived the receptionist was super friendly and attentive, helping us check in a little early and storing our luggage whilst we explored a little of Tamarindo as they finished off the room. The owners and staff were great, the location was perfect! We were only in town for one full day, with so many people to see, and things to do, so we didn’t have breakfast, but we were able to have dinner at the restaurant. The JW Marriott is an excellent property right on the ocean! We loved everything about our stay and can't wait to return! The room was spotless and we didn’t encounter any bugs or animals on the property. We had an awesome ocean-view room, a platinum elite welcome fruit platter, the infinity pool has an ocean and sunset view, and is large enough to accommodate everyone without crowding, the restaurants offer a variety of cuisines, activities vary daily and include cocktail-making and evening happy hour, s'mores on the beach, etc.

Our stay at the JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort was nothing short of perfect! The property was beautiful & well maintained, the staff was friendly, the food was delicious, & the excursions were well organized & fun. Our room was cleaned & restocked to perfection each day & we were so happy we’d thought to reserve a room with an ocean-facing balcony. Each night, the sunset was an event not to be missed! In addition, the serpentine, infinity pool was large enough to provide guests with varying levels of enjoyment. A water volleyball game at one end of the pool went unnoticed by guests looking for quiet relaxation in another area. Over the course of our week-long stay, we got to experience the warmth & friendly service of the resort staff. We looked forward to being greeted each day by hostess, Karen, who greeted us by name & easily recalled our dining preferences. In addition, Josue and Gustavo, stand out for their exceptional service & sincere interest in our comfort & enjoyment of the property’s many amenities. As vegetarians/pescatarians & coffee lovers who do most of our own cooking, we were concerned that the resort would not meet our dining preferences. The opposite was true: the breakfast buffet at the resort restaurant, Pimento, had something for everyone. Local fruit, along with the biggest buffet we’ve ever seen, including egg & quesadilla bars, provided a substantial start to each day’s activities. Beautiful property, huge pool, variety of restaurants. Slightly isolated from any towns (half hour drive to Tamarindo and they have a shuttle). Walked to a nice beach restaurant, Lola’s. Could advertise that the spa has a sauna, steam room and small pool. Spa prices were high for Central America but service was good. Really enjoyed the Tamarine Restaurant. Room was very comfortable with a large bathtub. Pool is huge. Nice property, about an hour and a half from Liberia airport. Found a less expensive van to and from Liberia airport than what the Marriott offered.

Our Deluxe King Pool View room (208) was awesome with an amazing breakfast for two. Every meal we had was excellent and Dallas prices. Service was over the top everywhere we went, from Alfredo the bellmen, to Maikal in the office, to Katherine at breakfast, to Dennis at the poolside bar, the the immaculate housekeeping daily, to the amazing Infiniti pool overlooking the ocean, beautiful sunrises, sunsets, and moonrises! We will be back soon’ Gracias!

We visited as a family what a beautiful property! Rooms large and comfortable turn down service was the best ! Staff amazing and great breakfast buffet Monica was best at omelette station ! Had a lovely staff at Refugio Lodge, all the staff I met was friendly and welcoming. Pool was nice and refreshing after a day of being out. Refugio is ideally located in the heart of Tama so location was perfect for both beach and nightlife. Breakfast being included was great as this town could be as expensive as NY price-wise, yes New York. Agustin was helpful and always easy to reach via WhatsApp. Thank you to everyone at Refugio for making my stay great.

This place is perfect for a week long getaway! It can be a bit loud at night, but it was nothing that kept us awake at all. The pool was the perfect spot to take a cool dip after a hot day on the beach, and the staff were all the most friendly folks you can ask for. They made every effort to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. The food at the lodge is also excellent, and we could have eaten it every night if we wanted. Definitely would recommend, and we hope to return soon!

Room was clean, staff was friendly and the free breakfast was great. Very loud at night however. Not that it matters because you’re so close to the beach, but the pool isn’t clean.

Great location, walking distance to everything. Very nice swimming pool, bar, restaurant and coffee shop. People were coming from all around to buy their coffee! Every one of the staff was very friendly and the recommendations for surf lessons and transportation was great pricing and people!

The hotel is tastefully decorated and furnished throughout, very much the beach vibes that one would expect... considering the hotel's name ;-) Our room (Santa Theresa) was spacious, clean and comfortable. It would be nice if the shower was enclosed (not semi-open to the room) but my children and I made-do and it wasn't a big deal. A/C was fresh and it was nice to have a TV to cast Netflix to. The rooftop lounge has hammocks, etc and free coffee and cold /filtered water throughout the day. Breakfast included at Sol Bakery was excellent, as were the welcome drinks that I received from the bar located at El Mercadito directly behind the hotel. Good location, nearest beach access pathway approx ~100m away, flanked by shops, restaurants, etc in all directions. No swimming pool (otherwise I would give the 5th star!) but staying in a quality hotel and having quick access to the beach ~made up for it. Staff was excellent: very courteous and polite, if I had their names I'd thank them personally in this review! Two young fellows and one local girl who worked the front desk. I’m very low key but like clean! The hotel is not huge but in my opinion it was just right. My first room had a leaking air conditioner unit behind the wall so they moved me rooms! Luckily it was the next room. The staff is amazing!! They were very helpful and bilingual which helps. The rooms were clean, the bathroom was fine and the shower was spacious. The rooms don’t have closets but they have shelves. My first room didn’t have any where to hang clothes and the second one did. Towels are clean and I was able to book tours through them. They can help with transportation from airport to hotel and back. It’s about an hour and a half drive from Liberia airport so expect to pay a good chunk. The “ Mercadito “ is literally around the corner and there are other eatery places near. You can shop, eat, drink, and walk to the beach!! I traveled by myself and I felt safe. I honestly don’t even want to share this hidden gem!! I’d keep it to myself. Camila was a gem!!! Thank you and hope to come back!♥️

Great little hotel a little away from the beach front so more peaceful but very walkable. Beautiful little veranda for everyone to share at the top. Comfortable bed and clean rooms. Parking out front on sidewalk area. Lots of shopping and restaurants and bars all around.

The vibe is great. Chill, light and bright, community, yoga and surf energy. It’s so central. The heart of the action. Close to the beach and to bars and restaurants. The staff is amazing. So friendly and accommodating. Because it’s so central, it is a bit loud, but it seemed to slow down after about 10:30 pm until about 7 Am when traffic would pick up again. I would stay there again.

Playa Negra Hotel was really nice as it is steps from the beach. They have a nice pool for adults and a kiddie pool. The restaurant was great and staff super friendly. Prices are like in the US. I would definitely return here or recommend to anyone.

Our room was rustic but comfortable but no a/c which you really didn't need at night. Great surfing beach with swimming beach next to it. Very accommodating help willing to do whatever you needed. Loved it! It's a private, low-key resort right on the beach. Individual thatched roof bungalows added to the charm. Family of five enjoyed body surfing, pool, yoga classes and walks on beach. We arrived very early so had breakfast at the restaurant while the hotel put a rush on our rooms. We very much appreciated the early check in plus the bottle of wine left in the room for us. This hotel is perched up on the hill away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Tamarindo but an easy shuttle ride from the hotel to all of the restaurants, shopping and beach. We will be back. Thank you for going out of your way to accommodate us and for making our stay a memorable one!

We loved this hotel! It’s a little older, charming and very comfortable. The view of the beach from our window was breathtaking. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful! They have a wonderful boutique bar and restaurant called Wine and Soul.The delicious food, created by a gourmet chef is served al fresco. It’s the perfect romantic getaway! The only thing In this country that is more beautiful than the scenery, is the people!

I stayed in room 12, which is a junior suite, the more expensive tier in this hotel (double the other room rates). This was a pleasant room with balcony, AC, TV, large bathroom. It is on the older/rustic side; and was cool and clean. From the balcony, you can see the beach/ocean. There is restaurant on the first floor - it did not bother me. Bed was very large, and the right level of firmness. There was a net around the bed, which gave it a royal feel. Owner is very nice, and he has interesting stories to share. He used to be surfing champion of Costa Rica; AND a golf champion. Few things to be aware of: This is hotel at the entrance to town. You are extra few hundred meters away from the action. While it is a beach front hotel, beach is a long non-paved walk. In room 12, view of the beach is blocked There are various animals running on the roof at night; and it sounds like they are running in the room. It can get very scary, and having ear plugs may help you. Also, there are small monkeys, that yell very loud - it is also rather intense. This is a very small hotel/motel. Not much of a travel desk. You will need to use someone to else to schedule / find yourself trips. Net-net - it was a pleasant, low key stay. Because of location on the edge, you may use Uber more often ($5 usd to any part of town). I am not sure if the price/value ratio was balanced at the time of my stay - and this is Tamarindo, where everything is expensive.

Nice little hotel, backs directly onto the beach plus hammocks, chairs, and a beach shower in the back. Short walk to town. Clean and comfortable, very safe, great hot water. There was also a wall safe, hair dryer, AC, fan, mini fridge, tv, and fast WiFi. Definitely would stay again.

Trish at the front desk was super helpful. Bakery inside the lobby was tasty. Bar was rarely open. Nice hammocks an outdoor shower. Crocks on the estuary beach about 100 yards away. $35/person to take a boat tour up to get close to Crocks and monkeys. Super rare for crocks to go into the ocean. I swam and felt safe with lots of surfers around. Restaurants, shopping and Brewery close by. Bed was big but a little hard and the pillows were stiff. Room was nice and the balcony was great.

We had a great stay! The apartment is spacious, well-equipped, and has excellent light. The bed is hard but we slept great. Big bathroom, plenty of storage. Fast WiFi, cold AC. The cleaning staff is wonderful and did an excellent job every day. Everyone who works at the hotel is friendly; the one time we had an issue they resolved it fairly and immediately. Beach access is awesome! Just a one-minute walk out the back. In the rainy season the pathway can get a bit muddy and buggy, though bug spray and the outside shower made it not a big deal. Very walkable to the restaurants and shops on the north end of town. A great option for surfers looking for an affordable stay, since there are breaks right out the door and the pangas for boat trips further out. We would absolutely recommend and stay here again.

Beautiful property with amazing surf! Super fun wave! The main restaurant is not air conditioned and there is not a swim up pool. But the buffet had excellent food and a good selection. Super close to downtown which is fun for food and shopping. The staff was AMAZING! Super helpful and the resort was very clean! We saw a whole family of monkeys in town and tons of fun colorful crabs and iguanas! We will definitely go back!

This place was amazing!! So beautiful and a little bit of everything. Large pool. Amazing waves for surfing. Japanese and Italian restaurants (additional charges). Endless drinks, food including snacks, music, and fun. Grounds were well maintained, and the staff was very friendly.

This is our second time to this resort. We like that its small and on a gorgeous beach. Love the eiver that runs on the side of the resort into the ocean. Fun watching surfers. The buffet is very good and fresh. The bartenders are friendly and fast. The entertsinment by the pool was very upbeat. Its so close to town. You can walk or take a $6 cab ride. We would definitly return. A good experience. Not fancy but has a nice vibe to it. The price can't be beat!!

Beautiful resort! Loved being right on the beach. Great pool, clean rooms & outstanding service from our waitress Edina at the buffet, Jose at Bar Tortuga & Natalie in the gift shop. Would highly recommend!

Highly recommended, one of the only places Ive stayed in Costa Rica where you get what you pay for! Lovely friendly and helpful staff Spacious comfortable rooms Amazing big shower with hot AND water cold taps, good pressure :) Breakfast included too which the other places I stayed for the same price had only cold water tap in shower and no breakfast!

I read some of the reviews after I booked, but before I stayed, so I was concerned about a few water pressure reviews, but for me that was not the case as the water in the shower was hot and had good pressure, but not that I care anyways. Rest of the reviews seem on point, as the rooms were great, they have a mini fridge too which maybe I didn't see on their listing. The lady at the reception was super nice and they have a nice cafe next door for breakfast, and amazing coffee! Beach is in front, economy rental car next door and I just walked the beach and town. This is the perfect location

We had a great time, the rooms were comfy and well maintained. They had a cool little courtyard to chill outside and an outdoor shower to wash your feet after coming back from the beach which is just in front of the hotel. We had a car and managed to park in the 2 spaces they have right in front of the reception and the security across the street keeps an eye on everything. Super safe, staff are friendly, and I recommend this place to get the best value for your buck.

Well situated hotel in Tamarindo! Props to the staff for keeping it clean, as well as my room! Great stay, amazing coffee and free breakfast at their Cafe, and all around, everything was perfect. Will recommend to everyone I meet!

Location was great. Just across from the beach and a couple nice restaurants, couple blocks from a surf rental shop, and a 5-10 minute walk to the city center. Place was clean and AC worked well. It was nice to have a shared shower outside as well as the one in our private room. To first rinse off from the beach before bringing in any sand and salt. Easy checkin and out.
